Hi, as a member of the forza motorsport 2 community, I think I write in behalf of many people when I come here and ask, pardon me, beg, for the high end logitech steering wheel support, i.e. the G25.

while the wheel is fully supported on the playstation, it's not on a microsoft based system, and believe it, it truely enhances the fun one can have while playing a racing game.

I don't own a g25, mainly because it does not work with xbox 360.  I have the MS Wheel and it is ok, but I would love a more realistic experience that the G25 could give. 

This would be awesome if MS and Logitech got it working.

Just in general get all Logitech wheels to work!

I just bought a G25  for $230 (tigerdirect) to use on my PS3 with GT5 Prologue - words can not describe the difference in quality between this and the MS wheel. I really hope MS does the right thing and licenses the G25 to work on the XBOX 360.

Perhaps T10 can leverage MS to "do the right thing" for Forza because I am really noticing how craptastic the MS wheel is now with Forza after using the G25.....

When given the choice of future multiplatform racing games between 360 and PS3 - I will allways choose PS3 versions for the G25 support alone - MS take notice!!!!!

To me, the G25 is needed. I can tell you right now i am not buying the M$ wheel, it's just not that good.

I am also a member of the Forza Motorsports 2 community, and am here to support the "support" of the G25. Sorry Microsoft, but your wheel does not interest me. I don't have it and I won't buy it. No clutch pedals, no shifter... where the G25 on the other hand.... well, lets just say Logitech has just made a better product then you this time.  Either make your own to a better standard than theirs, or just get the drivers licensed and let us have at it. I won't run out and buy an MS wheel till it's built way better, Logitechs I'd run out and buy right now if it worked for the XboX 360. And yes I would rock it on Forza 2, heck, I might even be tempted to get some more racing games, like PGR, or Nascar, but without a wheel, I'll stick to my one tried and true racing game, FORZA!

well, not allowing a high quality wheel is like MS inviting people to get PS3

GT4 is not as good as FM2, but the G25 itself brings Sony game on par with T10 one.

not to mention the next games, NFS pro street has clutch support, PS3 players can have it like a real car and we will have to use a *button*

Can't buy an MS wheel do to a "recall" and I can't buy a G25 because it doesn't work.

Evidentally this means I'm going to be playing all my driving games on my PS3.

so with NFS pro street released or almost released here's the player's choice

get it on PS3 with full H grid shifter and clutch support
get it on PC with full H grid and clutch support

get it on X360 with poor designed wheel, no H grid and no clutch support (while clutching techniques are important in this game)

guess what, I just got it on PC

all next racing games will have full G25 support on every system BUT the X360

so ok, now forza is a great game, but with NFS getting less arcade (way less arcade, it's less arcade than PGR, almost like Forza), all the next gen racing games that will support G25, I believe more and more racing fans will leave X360 community and join other system's.

X360 is running on some sort of windows right ? would it be so hard to just allow the G25 to work with it ? or MS will keep shooting themselves a bullet in the foot only allowing these two poorly designed "toys"...

I have been thinking about buying a steering wheel, but couldn't find one worth buying then when i do find one it dosn't work for the one system i have. I am seriously thinking about buying a ps3 and not even using the 360 anymore. If MS actually reads these or cares what the consumers think they will integrate this awsome accessory before they are obsolete.

being able to use the G25 would enhance the experience immensly, please support this wheel sometime SOON. what I find strange is, no one from MS has even commented in this thread

Yeah - come on Microsoft - support the awesome G25 Steering Wheel !! I own this wheel since almost a year now and absolutely kicks *** ! Playing racing games like GTR, GTR2, GT Legends (all on PC), Gran Turismo 4 (on PS2) is almost like the real thing with this mother.

I'm sorry to say that, but your steering wheel is crap - so why no support other hardware ? The only cause could be to milk mo' money from the XBOX360 users ... but beware M$ - I surely am not the only one who's starting to think of selling the XBOX360 to get a PS3 - only because it supports other steering wheels (and btw - any S-ATA 3,5" HD as well - not only the totally overpriced 20 / 120 GB Microsoft HDs). Shame on you, Microsoft !!

I really hope the support is reading this thread and maybe Microsoft WILL think of supporting other wheels ...

This has been discussed many many many times and has been kicked down to the ground time and time again.


I can give you some of the reasons why (yes, I agree it sucks)

Not an official Microsoft product, less money to MS
No headset port, or Microsoft X360 button
Works on a competitors system.
Uses 'force feedback' technology, does not use 'axial feedback' technology - different methods of sending FF (different API)
Most MS driving games are designed for the MS wheel, without a clutch.


The list goes on.
I couldn't agree with you more and I WILL NOT PUCHASE ANY WHEEL AT ALL until it supports my PS3 AND my Xbox 360, period.
If that means never - then no one gets my money.

It's been 18 months since people first started asking for multi-platform wheels, either Logitech is too tight to pay dual licensing, Microsoft or Sony are being pricks about it or people simply don't care?

Who knows.... I still don't own a wheel and I still won't until a multi-platform one is out (a GOOD one!)

It ain't going to happen...  If you are really into racing sims, then get a G25, shelve Froza and then start playing PC racing sims.

Please get the support for G25 in you console.
I played alot of GRID on my PS3 because i could note use G25 for Forza or any other game for XBOX

More bumpage.  I use a G25 with my PS3.  I'm new to the 360 and was very disappointed to find that the G25 is not compatible with my new purchase.  Forza 2 would be sweet with this wheel.  I have no plans to buy the MS wheel.  Instead, I'll buy another racing game or two for my PS3 with the money.

For a driving simulator, I would say it's a MUST to have g25 support. Please MS and Turn 10, make it hapen.

Seems like there'd be some ninja way to make it work. It's disappointing we only have the fanatec or the ms wheel. So spend $$ or get a sub-par wheel. I wish there was a decent option out there that was within budget.

I'm in the process of looking for a wheel for my XBOX right now and came across this thread.  Is the MS wheel really that bad?  From what I can tell, it looks like my best option(?) for my XBOX in regard to playing PGR4 and Forza 3.

/need g25 wheel support, dont want to spend more money on 'probably worse' microsoft wheel, and cant afford to buy the fanantec one.
