Operation Flashpoint is the most realistic Military FPS I've ever played and I can't wait for the sequel. It will not be out for a LONG time though. While no game can beat Operation Flashpoint, I see nothing wrong with a substitute to have until then.

VBS1 is actually the version of Operation Flashpoint our Army and police units use for combat traning. (As well as other armies around the world)  You can purchase it for a couple of grand.  AA is the most tactically realistic shooter ever released on a console and will go a long way towards making the wait for OP easier.

All Im doing till release is buying time. Knowing each and every game purchased between then and now will become an expensive coaster or 1/4 price trade in.Ive played both opflas for pc,xbox and while I know they are seperated now armed assualt is looking good as well. CANT WAIT

Yup agreed, Yet OFP2 is the only game i truely want and looking forward to. Everything else is just filler to pass the time! Somehow i hope by the time this game comes out i hope it supports mods to keep it going for years to come after it!

ArmA2 IMO will be my game of choice seeing as how it's actually from the developers (Bohemia Interactive) of OFP. Never been a big fan of Codemasters and lets face it.....they own the OFP name and thats about it.

 

But of course they could prove me wrong and actually do a decent job, in which case I would have to make a tough choice as to which game to purchase when the time comes.

Here here...... I have been waiting for OFP2 for about 5 years now. The reason I got the the 360 was for Brothers In Arms: Hells High Way but it seem that game has been delayed for about a 2 years now. Having them both will be a real treat.

I am most def looking forward to this game, loved the original PC game and the expansions. Hopefully 08 games will tide me over until this one comes out.

Bohemia is one of the few companies besides Infinity ward and ubisoft that make good games.

I cannot wait for this to hit 360.  However I had heard that OPFP name got sold and that Bohemian Interactive was not involved.  Bohemian is doing Armed Assult and I am not sure that will be on 360. 

However Op Flashpoint Elite was great on OG Xbox and I hope we get something like that for 360.  The depth of that game was immense, and the maps were equally imense..

 

both ArmA2 and OFP2 have been announced for the 360.

...although i havent seen alot of info(regarding the 360 version) aside from that.

yea ofp2 will rule.  theres supposed to be a 360 version of arma coming too.  im sure it will be a couple years off, but who knows maybe we will actually get one of the two next year.  hopefully gta4 and ut3 come soon to hold us over.  this particular version of americas army (true soldiers) is a disgrace.  im not buying anymore of ubisoft and red storms rehashed outdated uninspired garbage anymore, and i hope that others do the same.
