Controls don't seem quite right...
I've only played the trial version, but it seems that there's something odd going on with the player controls.

I distinctly remember when playing the Amiga version, when the ball is launched (at the beginning of the game or after a goal is scrored) holding up on the joystick and pressing the action button, causing my player to slide towards the ball.

In this version, at each launch my player can't move until my opponent has already grabbed the ball, which is somewhat unfair. In fact, in many places in the game, my players freeze on the spot when they should be moving. I've tried with both the analog stick and the D-Pad, but no luck. I don't have any problems with any other games.

Was this a deliberate change or is this version a bit buggy?

I think I can help here.

On the Amiga version..I am sure as well that when the ball was launched you could indeed move straight away.
This is NOT the case on the XBL Version...however...you CAN move before the opponent grabs the ball...AND you can get there before him. The trick is...DONT move anything until (one of the two following..its been a while since I played it and I forget right now..but..) either the ball hits the ground or until the door has flipped back and the ball is on its way down. Or something very similar, just experiment. Have your finger hovering above the buttons of course...just dont push anything.

Its annoying but believe me when I say it is an issue that does not actually spoil the game.

Hope this helps

The thing for me is the Xbox pad is so stiff that after 2 games I'm in real pain playing this. Maybe just getting old.
