Thanks! I found Rainbow 6:V to be fantastic for the first half of the game, then sorta ho-hum and repetitive for the last half. The squad AI was a great feature, though. I love WW2 games...... I didn't game at all during the 6th generation so I missed out on the oversaturation.

You could die in Bioshcok, you would just respawn in one of those chambers.

Surely that's more like dying than reloading the last checkpoint.

On the contrary. When you respawn in, say, CoD4, you have to go through and redo everything you did from the last checkpoint again. In Bioshock, you could kill a Big Daddy with the wrench if you felt like wasting time and being a ***. That, to me, is godmode. CoD4 is more like changing the space-time continuum or the Butterfly Effect or something, if you want to put a realistic spin on things.

I don't agree. If you die in Bioshock then you can continue but you lose some of your inventory in the process.

In CoD it's a case of re-doing the same thing, so I'd say that's more like going back in time instead of dying.

You could kill a Big Daddy with a wrench but you'd use a lot of your erm.. left arm stuff.

Also note there is an achievement for not dying in Bioshock. So if you are really that worried about it you'll play it that way.

No, I hate futuristic shooters like Halo and all them, dont appeal to me.  Even Frontlines I didnt like, it all depends on the setting and how they pull it off.  COD 4 didnt do that for me, the MP maps looked like I have seen them a million times in pictures and movies and there was no variety in the maps scenery (all bland deserted desert towns with not much going on).  Really to me each map looked the same with different buliding moved around here and there.  Vacant and The missile site were the only 2 unique ones that didnt follow that.

As for single player i guess you are entitled to your own opinion, lets agree to disagree. I still find it hard to believe that u don't like it though. I think that you just didn't like the change from cod 3 and didn't like the mp so u decided to hate the whole game...What is everybody elses trhoughts on cod 4 sp?

No, honestly the MP just pissed me off to no end, I found the perks to be unbalanced as well as the kill streak bonuses....why should the winning team be rewarded with bonuses that help *** the losing team?  3 helicopters in a row in one game (whether I was on the side with the choppers or not) isnt even fun.  But thats another discussion for another time.  The maps were also small for my tastes, didnt really like them.  And I gave my views on the SP.

CoD4 is the same over and over because it's a case of spawning, grenades, go it on your own, camp, be camp killed, round over.

CoD3 was never like that, not when I played it anyway. Team communication and teamplay were far more frequent, and you actually killed someone in 3 when you shot them. The hit detection is also terrible sometimes/often in 4 which wasn't the case in 3.

Sure there are gimmicks in 4 which everyone loves. Namely the perks, attatchments and leveling system, but a true gamer knows you don't need gimmicks to make a good game. All you need is a solid all roung game, which 3 is exactly.

Using the same weapon doesn't neceassarily get boring. I bet you do the same crap almost every day of your life, doe sthat get boring? If it's really that boring then you'll play as other classes, and you obviously don't appreciate simplicity, which at it's finest is ofter better than complexity.

And COD 3 is better, actually Socom is the game that will waste every COD game over and over and you wouldnt even get a kill in a clan match or regular match.

The problem is when people get good they usually move on to something that challenges them, COD3 is good because it doesnt take itself too seriously unlike other games, it still has the fun factor and when in a party with a good crowd youll cry laughing at some of the stupidity of some people.

Also the kits make it so each player is a part of a team.  The kits foster more communication and team play.  The kits foster more strategic play.  Every soldier knows his place, position and duty.  Every soldier has different strong and weak points.  They work together as one to get the job done.  Together we stand, divide we fall.

When I play capture the flag, I will use smoke, if medic, and my body as a shield to protect the flag carrier.  Better to score the flag for the team than worry about my stats.
