CoD4. It was a step in the right direction for the franchise. Halo 3 was good too, but CoD4 stole it for me with the return to the CoD2-like engine.

For the record, I don't ACTUALLY own Guitar Hero II.

Call of Duty 4!  Because it went modern and finally away from WWII.  Best Game Ever!

Call of Duty 4 had an amazing campaign that I really got into (I thought it was sort of short though). Halo on the other hand had another amazing campaign. When it came to campaign the thing that won it over for me had to be the 4-player co-op. If Activision had just gone that extra mile to somehow make the campaign co-op (there are enough players on each mission for at least a two-player co-op). As for multiplayer they are both great and have different strengths. Overall Halo won my vote because of the extra features like forge and theater.

CoD4 for sure.

The best game is Halo 3, but the best sequel to a game is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  COD4:MW just added so many great new things! (I'd put Halo 3 in for a close second place).

The one thing that made me angry about Halo 3, the 1 THING: They killed Sgt.Johnson.......Coolest black char in a game. Johnson was my favorite. The Coletrain is my second fav char of all time.
