Ok so I played the trial and I gotta say i was rlly impressed by how much it reminded me of WoW, the questing, the battles, and the overall mechanics of the game itself... are there any other games (past and present) that are somewhat similiar to this? Perhaps something from the genesis or psx that i could download to my psp?

Well I guess the obvious answer would be the PSX port of the original Diablo. Other possibilities include Darkstone, Torneko: The Last Hope, and Azure Dreams. These games are all for the PSone. Azure Dreams and Torneko are both Random Dungeon dwelvers. The formula gives you a single tower or dungeon to explore however the floor plans are different every time you enter. You are allowed a limited number of items to take with you and should you die you lose all your gold and equipment. Azure Dreams being very Japanese in nature also throws in some town building and dating sim elements. For Genesis you have Fatal Labyrinth... but it isn't very good.

I checked out the games but their not that much similiar to Arkadian Warriors or the feel and mechanics of wow. guess my expectations were too high ;) anyways thanks

Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance 1 and 2 (for XBox and PS2, and I think Gamecube) are pretty similar.  If you have a PC, there's also a game called FATE (made by some of the same people as Arkadian Warriors) and its sequel Mythos.

Blaze & Blade: Eternal Quest on the PSone and PC is a pretty similar game and it's 4 player co-op.

 

Ignore the 4.4 rating, it's actually a really good game.

Also, if you happen to find a copy of Ehrgeiz for the PSX (the fighting game with final fantasy VII characters), it also has a full length dungeon quest game sort of similar to Arkadian Warriors (more like Diablo though). Anyways, I thought it was pretty fun. Ten times better than the fighting half of the game anyways.

Dont forget The Bard's Tale on Xbox 1.

 

Can pick up a copy for about £5 on Ebay. I'm just waiting for myn to arrive, been delayed with Xmas post or lost by the damn royal mail !!

First impression I got when playing this was how similar it was to Dungeon Seige, not quite as good though.

You could do a lot worse than Dungeons & Dragons Heroes on the old Xbox that was fairly good slasher.

sweet thanks Billargh,  i downloaded Dungeon Siege for the psp and it kicks ***... it plays just like Arkadian Warrior and .... well WOrld of Warcraft in a lot of ways. i was really surprised when I first played it. all the little things in the game connected to WoW and it is slightly more fun than Arkadian Warriors IMO. im getting my computer fixed next week and back on WOW so this should hold me off until than. Thnx again ;)

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is quite similar and an amazing game, me and my brothers spent 70+ hours playing it.
