I would like Metal Slug 2 and Metal Slug X. Metal Slug 2 and Metal Slug x are the same setting but in X it's somewhat advanced with new weapons and one new boss at the beginning of the level.

Which Metal Slug game would you like to be released on xbox live arcade?

2 is awesome as you said, I love the first level in arabia or whatever it is as that was my first ever Metal Slug experience.

I'd like to see all of them, but I really don't think we'll ever be seeing 1, 2 & X. If they started by releasing 3, they're going to have trouble selling prequels to the general public. Hardcore players and fans will buy all the games if they get released, but regular joes won't know why they should get MS2 if they already have MS3.

Say they realease all the Metal Slugs on the XBLA.

That's seven titles, priced at $10 a pop? That's $70 dollars.

I'd must rather purchase the Anthology for the PS2, PSP, or Wii. All seven games, $40 pricetag.

I think if i get a Wii I'll get the anthology, but these acvmnts are so darn fun.

They should group at least two of them together. That would be awsome if it was 800 points. But seeing as MS3 was 800 it would probably be 1200.

I'd like to see In The Hunt on XBLA.  It's not part of Metal Slug series but its made by the same people.  Its the one where you pilot a submarine and almost all of the combat takes place underwater.  Pretty cool game.

MS1 - Simple but still stands up!
MSx -  MS2 But a bit better (think about it they use emulation so the slowdown of MS2 would be in the emulated version and that's a no no!)
MS5 - I always liked that one


Whatever happens please, PLEASE don't release MS4 next Total garbage realease 1, 2 and X as art of a package and then head straight to 5.  Having said that 6  looked cool..

What I think will happen though is that they'll release MS4, complain about the lack of sales and then stop......

They were ok,  more platform orientated than the "run and gun" staple of the originals.  But, they would look REALLY bad on a big TV What was the resolution of a NGPC?  240x160?

i'd go for metal slug 3d personaly, though that would never happen.

And, to whoever asked, MS4 is DIRE but the series came back again with MS5 :-)

How about Metal Slug 6, it's the first one where you have two weapon slots and share ammo with your teammate. Oh and for the guy that hasn't played Metal Slug 4, it's not a bad game, it's just REALLY hard.

ONly played 6 on the PSP and it loads WAY TO OFTEN to get a good feel for it.

 

The issue I have with 4 is that yes, it is hard but the design is sneaky and unfair.  The whole game feels like it's trying to trip you up and eat coins.  The other MS games feel like YOU messed up when you died and were more skill, as opposed to memory, based.

it would be too late for that now.. people would want a refund on this title.. besides microsoft likes money.

most non hardcore gamers have never even heard of snk so i think they should get people infomed on it before they release any more because I dont want to ever hear something about the grapics when the game came out like 10-15 years ago

How about JUST Metal Slug Anthology. 1250 Achievements! Microsoft points um. 3000 points (Special offer!) They should do that.

1250 and 1000 Halo 3, Oblivion, BattleStations: Midway, King Kong, Call of Duty 4, and Call of Duty 2

My first Metal slug experience was number 1 so I'd love to see that up on the market place, I'm not usually one for achievements but they make this game much more of a challenge and rewarding. Just got the mission 3 master today BooYA

Metal Slug X is the best in the series, in my opinion, so I would love to see that brought over.

That said, the original has the "classic arcade original" feel to it and seems like it would be a natural fit on the XBLA.

If you want to fulfill your fix for all the original Metal Slug versions in their arcade machine greatness, you could download that MAME arcade emulator for pc. I am pretty sure its legal too :)

None of those roms are legal . Mame is legal.  Roms arent.  Catch 22.

Nope, it's technically 100% illegal to have the ROM without owning the original MVS cart.  Essentially it's piracy.  BUT it is a way to get the exact version running but, if you really want toget the original you can pick up a consolised MVS for about 150GBP and then the game for a further 20GBP.

Then again the version of MS3 they released on marketplace was emulated (if you knock the updated graphics off) so it's pretty close.  Fingers crossed they release the rest of them.  Personally I'm looking forward to the release of the SF IV arcade sticks.  It'll make the Metal Slug experiance much better!

Technicalities out of the way.  99.9999999999999999999999999% chance of downloading the rom will result in no lawsuit.  Especially if you avoid public mediums.  It wouldnt be worth the time for a company to try and sue someone over a game from 10 years ago that is no longer in the arcade.
