Can't use spinner control on arcade stick

I'm VERY disppointed. 

 

I bought this game outright when it became available.  I have the Madcatz arcade stick, which is officially licensed by MS and is the only 360 arcade controller I know of with a spinner control (positioned around the right thumbstick). 


Well, guess what?  They neglected to program the game to take advantage of this controller!  How lame is that?  The ONE 360 controller w/ a spinner, and it's useless.

Hrmmmmmm I guess that's what trials are for.

I didn't figure I'd need the trial.  I mean, c'mon.  Why would they not allow you to use the spinner control for this game?  It's nuts. 

 

I'll get used to using a regular controller.  It's just disappointing is all.

I thought the spinner control just kinda emulated the thumbstick and did it's thing... I didn't know they needed to program for it ?

That's what I thought too.  The spinner even actually works on the 360 dash (scrolls left & right on the blades). 

 

I set the controls for aiming w/ the right thumbstick so that should have done it, but no dice.

Try changing the controls to "Absolute Aiming".

This is bad.  I was hoping this controller would come up trumps here.  I don't own one but would defo' have bought one for this game... fingers crossed one day a spinner will become available... i miss getting 90k+ on the score board... but i'm struggling to remember all  ways to finish the levels... the spider level when you spawn with the spiders surrounding you will be tricky without a fast spinner to aim with.

I had that stick for like a week, returned it.  It's absolute garbage.  You'd be better off using a regular d-pad and going to absolute aiming.

I bought the stick too just for tron and other games that might come out in the future (front line, wild western) but I can't get it to work either.  I see there are some different d pad settings to can set it to but I shouldn't have to do this.  I don't have the packaging anymore for it but maybe I can still make use of it.

I could see if the game was programmed before the controller was available.  Please give us an update!!!

Has anyone asked Microsoft about putting an update out there?  Would make sense for them to do an update for a controller they license....
