Ok guys, here is the new thread with all maps up on the first post.

first there is Konoha.
This is a map with all Trashcan locations marked. there are 95 plus trashcans and most of them are on the ground level but there are around 2 or 3 on a small roof or in a area that you will drop down towhile on a roof.
This map is very easy to use. There is also a green spot on the west side of a building that is southwest of the Hokage's place..just ignore that spot, thats actually an ancient coin.

Here is an updated version of the Konoha Coin Map i created. There are roughly 300 ancient coins here
and on top you will see a giant 398 in red, that will be the total of coins that you will have when you find all of the coins from both Konoha maps. On the far left side you will see some writing that mentions 2 coins and those 2 coins
are from the bridge race that you will do just before you fight Haku and there is no way of avoiding those 2 coins so that will bring your total to 400 ancient coins.

here is the Legend.
This means Ancient Coin
This means Gold Coin
This means Ancient Coin via zipline - I marked the roof that starts the zipline that has a coin on it

I suggest using this map at the start of the game so it can be 10 times easier to use.
If you do start a new game you should find 10 trashcans when you are doing the mission for the Ramen Shop
that requires 10 coins.
After that you should try to complete most of the game with out collecting any coins at all and once you learn how to walk on water then you can begin the hunt....and make sure you have lvl 3 for all of your jutsu.
so by the time you reached this spot you should only have 12 ancient coins.

Now this is an updated map of the 3 Outer Areas marked with all coin locations. It's a little fuzzy but it's the only one i could find...so it's not going to be as large,clear and into detail like my Konoha maps so you will have to zoom in a few times.
Thanks to Shadow Kisuragi for telling me about an acient coin that i forgot to mark in the bandit camp.

There are a total of 56 coins and when all three maps are used you will then have 456.
When you start your hunt you should first grab the coins from the 3rd exit (all the way to the left of the map, by Jiraiya) and then collect the coins from the first exit (all the way to the right, by Kakashi) and then save the 2nd exit for last.

You will need Lvl 3 Chakra Control and Shadow Clone Jutsu for a lot of the coins.

Now these are the coins for the 3 outside areas. Thanks to ODST suPeRnOva for using a capture card in order to create and then mark the coins in these areas.

Thanks for updating the image - I didn't want to make an account just to host one picture.

Here are the exact number of coins in each area:
400 in Konoha (293 Konoha sans Trash Cans + 105 Trash Cans + 2 coins from Mist line)
56 in Outer Areas
23 in Temple
46 in Forest of Death
23 in Waterfall
34 in Land of Waves

if you ever need to host an image in the future you should use this site, Imageshack.

i think shadow was wrong bout the 105 trash cans, i went thru the game and i only ggot 104... plus it isnt listed on son ala's trash can map

never mind i over looked one

when you guys tlk bout their being 400 coins total in the city, is it 400bronze coins or both bronze and gold coins all together?

ancient coins.
those were the main focus for people who needed help so those are the numbers i added to the maps.

in Konoha i did mark a lot of gold coins and i think there were only 2 that i didnt mark the last time but i did this time.
there is the one in the sewer and one on the edge of the small island.

most times you will find a gold coin on the way to an ancient coin.

also, near the hokage's place there is a tall building.
when you stand on that roof there is a coin to the left (when your back is to the hokages place) and it is on the top floor inside a balcony.

i always dash+jump and grab onto the left side of the balcony (part with no rails)

some people might have troubles finding that coin

I have found all but one coin and on the previous message board, the partial map one, someone said that they found a random one on a zipline somewhere.  Do you know where they were talking about?  Thanks

did you try to check the one from the outer area?
i was missing the one coin so i thought it was only 55 but there were 56.
its on the far right side of the 2nd exit.

the one that they found on a zip line was near the hokage building, right side on a high tower by the water
but i marked that coin on the opposite rooftop since the rooftop by the water already had marks around it from the other coins

Yeah I had found that one already.  Oh well I guess I will just keep looking in Konoha.  I think I had 400 coins for it before I went outside but I do remember running into another coin in the land of waves by accident so I am pretty sure it is in Konoha

I am missing 2 coins but i have marked off/ retrieved all the coins marked. can some1 please look at my map and mark off ones that werent marked. I would really appreciate it :)

There are 2 ancient coins and 1 gold coin I can't find. >< I counted all the gold marks on the maps and there seems to be only 114 of them. I am assuming a couple might me on wires, but I still can't find the last one.

Does anyone know if there is possibly a place with 2 ancients and a gold that I might be missing?

a spot with 2 will be on the way to the temple.
after the tree scene there is a cave with a coin and inside that cave you will wall run up to find another coin and then from up there you will look down to see an ancient coin on a ledge

I think I have those ones. It must be some coins somewhere in the city that I am too blind to find or that are in awkward spots that are hard to tell from the maps.

you see that purple dot southeast of jiraiya's head.

did you ever use that zip line?
the gold isnt marked since its part of that zipline. the line will give you a gold and an ancient

It's not there either. I think I might just have to start a new game and mark them off as I go to find it.

Ok I found the gold one. It was in a cave behind the arena that I missed. Now I just need to find two more ancient. ><

Where are these two glitched coins you mentioned? I found one of them (again it didn't count towards my score, but I assume it will once I reinstall the update) but I can't find the other. I'm not connected to Live right now so I can't see any messages on there.

land of the waves.

as soon as you enter take the zipline to your right and that will take you down below.
now from there make your way back to the bridge and when you are at the last boat there should be a coin there.
turn around so you can see it.

the other coin is on the bridge, when you make your way up from the ground level you will continue forward and on your right side you will see a walkable net and a coin should be there against a wall/cloth

now, for the other post. i havent checked in the game but i think that area is on a small roof with a wooden fence on 2 sides. it should be inside the fenced area and probably hidden inside of a bush.

next time i get on Naruto i will check and update you...but if you find the coin before that just update us so we can know

I can't still find It :( There is a bush but there isn't anything inside of it.

hmm, i wonder if the coin you couldnt find is actually the unmarked one you found on the other roof.

Tank mentioned in the previous thread that the coin he was searching for was actually on the building directly above it...basically, the dot needed to be moved a building up. Sorry for the late post, but I just wanted to clear that up.
