I'm surprised I can remember

I'm surprised that after all these years I could still remember alot of the patterns for the levels! TRON was my all time fav game back in the day and I fed the MPC many a quarter. But...I have to admit I am very disappointed, it just seems to me they could have maybe done a little better emulating this thing.

I need to keep switching control between absolute aim and regular (A I think). I use absolute for everything except the light cycles. For some reason I have better luck using the D-pad with the cycle turning.

I don't think I've ever had a game get me so PO'd like this though!!! ALMOST EVERY time I die it is because of the awkward controls.....guarenteed to get a few %$#@! flowing from my mouth.

I agree. I, too, die quite a few times during light cycle levels because the game either doesn't turn when I tell it to, or turns right into a wall when I don't. The aiming is also way too slow. No way was the spinner in the arcade this slow!

Not to mention that you have to use the upgraded graphics, unless you want to go deaf from the horribly emulated sound. The game has been seen by Foundation 9 and Microsoft staff for over a year now; how did nobody notice these things?

Overall, very shoddy emulation of a pretty good game. Digital Eclipse ruins the fun yet again.

You know I'm trying to give this game a chance and thinking to myself, "maybe I'll get the hang of these controls.", but it just aint gonna happen. I'll be doing pretty good and then all of a sudden lose all 3 lives on the tanks of MCP cone because of aiming issues. Grrrr...I wouldn't be so upset but I like to compete on XBLA ya know? TRON is probably the only game I have a real chance of maybe even scoring 1st place, or at least the top 10....which I was already 9th place for awhile.

It's truely amazing, I actually start shouting and swearing playing this!! It's ALMOST funny how upset I get...if I wasn't so PO'd. I don't usually write on message boards and I know everyone has heard all of this about this game already, but I'm going to vent as well this time...I've been waiting so long for this game and what a huge HUGE let down.

Even if they could change the regular aming so one could modify the speed? Even MAME had that if I can remember. I would play this on MAME but I kind of have the same aming problems with the mouse and such. Years ago I had an emulator...can't even remember the name of it now, it was DOS and it ran TRON, DOT, and a bunch of others...and most important, it supported the Logitech wingman warrior stick....the one with the spinner!!! I've tried to get that thing running under windows and MAME but have had no luck....I guess that's why I had such high hopes that Microsoft could do a very good job with this game on XBLA.

Sad [:(]  Guess it's time to crawl off the light grid and derez. END OF LINE.

Oh yes I remember now....KEM was the emulator I used to use for Tron. I hate to admit, but I'm getting slightly...ever so slowly better aiming BUT I really doubt I'll be as good with this as I was with the original arcade machine (and I was VERY good too!)  Stick out tongue [:P]
