PS3 version Cancelled

Just last night Gamestop/EB and assocciated retailers were emailed that the PS3 version of Frontlines: Fuel of War has been cancelled by the vendor, and the reserve SKU removed. If this really means no Frontlines for PS3 owners I wonder why THQ has yet to make any announcement at this time.
If infact the game will never touch the battlefronts of the PS3, then what is that implying about the 360 version of the game? Confused [*-)]

I think your right, go to ebgames.com and search for frontlines fuel of war, its not in their system for PS3

Yes, the 360 and PC version are still well underway.
I just wonder though, if the game is no longer suitable for the PS3, than just how well and what product will we be given for the 360?

Well I have no doubt they cancelled it for the PS3 to focus more on the PC and xbox 360 to make them great. We'll see when the multiplayer demo hits early februrary.

Yeah, I wouldn't read anything into what this could mean for the 360 version, just because the PS3 version might not be happening.  Since PS3 was probably just a port, it almost certainly means nothing, other than that all resources can now be focused on making PC/360 the best game possible.  That's a reason to be excited, not worried! Smile [:)]

I was at work and there was an email sent to us that stated the PS3 version was cancelled.....PC and Xbox360 are still in the making.........HORRAY FOR US!

Haha, well not the most surprising given the forum. Although I do feel guilty now for switching my Frontlines reserve over to Turning Point.
I just wasn't too happy that the gameplay is essential all the multiplayer is too.
I'm sure the multiplayer demo will be a warm welcome to those who enjoyed the demo. However the PC multiplayer beta was horrible. Kaos only wanted to test the gameplay, physics and enviorments, to observe any glitches or errors in the online experience, but sicne they only needed to test it for those purposes, they dumbed down the graphics and layers to a stripped version of the game. Although udnerstandable I found it very irritating.

HAHA I own both 360 & PS3. I know you could care less. Kinda looks like this could get lost in the land of shooters anyway. COD4 set a high standard.

you mean for the 1,000 PS3 owners who "MIGHT" have actually bought this game? Yeah, I own a PS3, but I didn't even know about this game until today... Then again, not many shooters grab my attention. They're a dime a dozen and 99% of them aren't worth buying... at least not imho...

taking a look at the forums on frontlines war and the kaos forums, there ane hardly any ps3 posters on there. Heck, there's more 360 guys posting on the ps3 forums than ps3 guys.

^^Yeah I was just about to put that up.
It's really dissapointing, not just with the down sided direction that this may lead the Frontlines franchise in, but also THQ itself. Considering their expected loses, they really need to drop a big hit title and renew some strong demands for such a franchise.

Too bad that wasn't the case for BF2:MC.   It was on PS2, Xbox, and 360, and they never updated it or offered DLC. 

 

This game will have DLC and updates...reguardless .  The devs are 100% behind it.

cod4 will remain the best game so i wouldnt care when frontline comes out. Just give us more downloadable content for cod4.  Forget this game.
