PGR 2 on Xbox 360
I'm a big PGR fan and haven't played PGR 2 for years, I know it's backwards compatible on the 360 but I've heard it doesn't play well and the frame rate is choppy? Anyone else had problems? Cheers Paul

Yes, there are definitely problems with PGR 2 on the 360.  The frame rate is not good, also there are various graphical and sound glitches.  If you do get a chance to play PGR 2 on the 360, and you come across weird things, please send an email with your findings to this address backcomp@microsoft.com .  Hopefully the squeaky wheel gets the grease.  It's been about 5 or 6 months since the emulator for this game was released, I can't believe it hasn't been updated yet.

I thought i could sell original xbox, but dont if you want to play PGR2 because the emulater still has bugs, this game needs to be a xbox original download on the 360 BADLY alot of old school players wants to play this again.

Re: PGR 2 on Xbox 360

I am running into a problem where I start a solo race in PGR2 and as soon as I hit the gas (right trigger) on my wireless 360 controller, the game locks up on me, and I'm forced to shut of my Elite 360.

Does this mean that I will have to use my original Xbox to play?

Also, what is the process if I want to play over LIVE using my original Xbox?  Do I just recover member ID on my original Xbox and then recover on my 360 next time I connect?  All my cars and purchases for PGR2 are on my original Xbox.

Your best bet is continue playing on the original xbox.  As far as getting your gamertag on the original xbox, there are a couple of things to know about...............

1.  You can recover the tag on the original Xbox, but a credit or debit card number must be associated with the account.  Did your tag, "PriusGuy2004", ever exist on your original Xbox?  If so you need to do nothing, you are already set to go......assuming there is a credit card number with your account.

2.  The account can exist on the original Xbox and the 360 at the same time.  There will not be a need to keep recovering the account back and fourth.

  1. Yes, I played PGR2 (among others) on my original Xbox system.  I have really enjoyed playing over LIVE an competing against others.
  2. That's good...I'll have to try that out some time.

Thanks!
