I'm really thinking about getting this game..tbh its the only one thats really interested me in a while as far as the marketplace is concerned...but I refuse to get another "broken" game.  What I want to know is: has this been fixed yet? and if not does any1 one know of any plans to try and fix it..or is it just a "yeh, well put up with it" kind of affair?

Nope, it's still glitched.  I haven't heard anything about a fix.  Pretty annoying.

Aw. I saw this thread and was hoping it'd be about the glitch being fixed.

Has anyone tried getting the 5000 points then going back and beating the last level of whichever level it is that accidentally got its name swapped with Level 5?  Maybe that would fix it..

Yes, and no that doesn't work because it's level 3 so it's impossible to have 5000 points through level 3.

I only got this yesterday so this may be a stupid question...

Are the other escapology ones glitched? Or its just the 5level one which is broken?

Every other achievement works fine, although obtaining them is quite the challenge.

 

Until the Level Five/5000 point achievement is fixed, 180 is the max you can get in this game. So far, only 4 people are recorded to have it.

Has anyone tried emailing the developers about it?

Once I have got 5000points for the first 5 levels (and no achievements) I will email them.

(Or should I say: when my 4 year old son has done it as he seems to really like playing this and got 980 on the first 10 levels, I better write the email tho! )
