Complete Backyard Guide

Backyard Guide

The Backyard is located in Gotza; take the elevator in the lower town to get there.

Concept: There are 5 battles for each of the 5 classes. If you lose, you get 1 , if you beat them you get ★★, and if you beat them and pull off a secret condition, you get ★★★. You can then trade in stars for items. Once you get ★★★ on all 5 enemies of a class, you’ll unlock the achievement for that class (worth 10 pts.). You’ll get items for getting or ★★ as well (lots of Skill Nuts to earn!).

*Magic Keys

There are 3 Magic Keys, which will open up the different classes. They are located in Gongora’s Palace’s hidden basement room, Ancient Ruins, and the Sacred Temple (secret one).

*Magazines

There are 5 magazines, which you give to the guy to the left of the cage. He will then tell you the hidden conditions on how to get ★★★ on each battle.

Backyard Intro (light class): Get ★★ on the Kelolon battle.

Weekly Backyard (middle class): Beast the boss in Gongora’s hidden basement.

Backyard Biographies (heave class): Dropped by Money-Money boss

New Backyard (super class): Beat the boss in the Sacred Temple.

Backyard White Paper (immortal class): Get 59

Hidden battle conditions:

LIGHT Class:

l  Kelolon Group: Let them do the combination attack several times

l  Spellcasters: Beat all the enemies yourself

l  Infinite Appetite: Beast the magic worm after it eats some bugs.

l  Two Eyes: Spawn and beat over 4 dogs.

l  Puppet Master: Beast the puppet master first and within a few turns only.

Re: Complete Backyard Guide

MIDDLE Class:

l  Kelolons: Keep both kelolons alive.

l  Mind’s Eye: Beat the bird first.

l  Here again!: N/A

l  Challenge: Win without using a healing item/spell.

l  Fireworks: Defeat all the enemies in one shot with a fire spell.

HEAVY Class:

l  Meat Eaters: Kill the leader that uses the scream skill

l  Troublesome Sickness: Win without anyone dying

l  Communal Battle: Defeat 20 doll queens

l  Kelolon Chief: Defeat the chief

l  No Immortals: Win without using any skills (only normal attacks)

SUPER Class:

l  Forever fireworks: Don’t die even once.

l  Using Rings: Kill the dog with only deadly poison

l  Money Fever: Pull off 10 fire attribute attack ring tosses.

l  Black Curtain of Kelolon: Beast before they escape. Gamble works nice.

Re: Complete Backyard Guide

UPDATE:

Super Class: Money Money

It's not 10 fire attacks, it's get "heads" on coin tosses 10 times. The only way to do this is to kill 2 of the money money dudes and have at least 3 charcters start wailing on the last 2 with double spell of fire (lowest level of fire). If you do that, you'll get 10 coin tosses before the 10th turn to get the three stars.

Super Class: Rings

You have to kill both the pooch and the soldier. Be sure to have a party of 5 and pull off deadly poison on the dog by landing a "perfect" with a ring with Deadly Posion LV3+ on it. Then start beating the guard to death. I highly reccument the skills i list below for the immortal battle.

Immortal Class:

You have to win in 15-20 turns. The sucker has almost 2 million life points by the way... If you use the curse spell that does damage equal to how many HP you are missing, you'll win NP. He does a spell that shaves 90% of your HP so you'll be doing 9000 or so a pop, and add double spell for all of your charcters and he'll be gone in no time. You'll wanna use both of the Spell Speed Up SKills, along with the one that keeps you at 1 HP if you receive fatal damage, and the "ultiamte defense in a pinch" skill.

Hope that helps! ^ ^

Another update/fixing of info

The Immortal class guy has around 125,000 HP only. Also, you have a whopping 30 turns to kill him in. If you can survive 30, no reason ya can't kill him! ^ ^

Re: Complete Backyard Guide
The curse spell that does damage equal to how much HP you have lost is the best, I found. Once you get into a loop where he casts that spell that knocks 90% of your HP away, you'll be doing massive damage (if your guys are around 9999 HP like I was). Not sure if that is the same spell as the one you are talking about. Anyway, congrats on beating him ^ ^

I have problems using the recommended strategy. This is how I improvised. I used Seth and Kaim (equip with Poison Ring). Seth attacks the guard and Kaim attacks the dog. I will try my best to land the exact ring hit requirement for Seth but I will continue to hit the dog with Kaim. The tactic is to keep atleast 1 immortal alive long enough for the other to revive.

Take note that if you land enough accurate ring hit requirements (i.e. bad, good, perfect), the guard will go away. If you keep missing, he will grow impatient and cast Annihilation to kill everyone. Both scenarios will cause us to fail the secret requirement.

Betreff: Re: Complete Backyard Guide

Ok i didn't read that other guide but here is how i won.

- equip all abilities to avoid/reduce/block damage, counter etc.

- will need TP absorbing ring for kaim and seth and strong poison ring for the dog

- i used kaim, seth, ming in frontline and sed, tolten in backline

- ONLY fight with kaim until the soldier has like 24.000-26.000 TPs left and make sure you hit him like he tells you, use defend for the others

- now equip poison ring and strike the dog with a perfect to poison it

- now equip TP absorbing ring to get ur TPs above 1 and hit the soldier like he tells you until the dog dies

- when the dog is dead he will start to attack you

- now start to attack him with all of ur characters, i used ming just to defend so when the soldier attacks that there is one more person he can hit and the melees stay alive as long as possible

- if you do some perfects to him + some luck you should be done soon

I hope my english is well enough to understand it and it helps.

Re: Complete Backyard Guide

Can anyone please tell me a more specific location to the magic keys? I have unknowingly found one and hence unlocked the medium class, but am unable to find any more. I just completed temple of enlightenment, so Im guessing I got the one from the temple. However that may not be the case, as I have already done all other areas as well.

Thanks.

Is there any way to guarantee a coin toss by those things?  I've used the strategy here over 5 times and no 10 successful coin tosses.
