Since there is a high demand for another Tetris tournament, I would volunteer to host it with the help of some others. It would begin on March 14th. That is when my spring break begins. It's not like I have anything else to do. Is it alright with everyone else if I host it?

FORMAT:
Seeding: Seeds will be based on the last tournament. The further you got in the tournament, the higher the seed you are. If someone from the previous tournament does not want to compete, then everyone else gets bumped up a spot. Since there are multiple people who got to the same round, then we will count games. For instance,

1st seed= Philly b/c he won
2nd seed= Caffeine since he came in 2nd
3rd seed= Gino (Semifinalist) because he took 9 games
4th seed= Aldo (Semifinalist) because he had 8 games

then if Gino does not want to compete, then Aldo is the 3rd seed....etc....

In the case of a tie for games won in a losing effort, a coin flip will decide seeds. Top 16 seeds will be taken. Everyone else will be placed at random. Even if you were a high seed in the previous tournament. Cough, Bubbles. In the case of an odd number for a tournament bracket, 36, then 4 people will have to play an extra match. New entries such as Aoki will be not be seeded despite being a top player. They will be placed randomally in the bracket like everyone else except for the top 16.

Tell everyone on XBOX Live about the new tournament. People must personally message me in order to be entered. So I can't sign up for 5 people who did not contact me. Entry deadline is March 12th at 5:00pm CST. Bracket will be released March 14th.

I forgot to mention that the earlier rounds will be best to 10 games.
Quarterfinal matches are best to 15 games
Semifinal games are best to 20 games
and the finals will be best to 25 games.

1 Lagout is permitted per match to each competitor. Any further lag out will result in losing that single game.
So if someone has "internet problems," and they lag out 5 times then they would have given up 4 points to the other person. This prevents people from abusing the system.

When making the room, make sure that it is a "Private" room so randoms won't come into the room uninvited.

Will i have an opponent on the first round?
How long is the time period in between which my opponent and I can play each other? For example, if my opponent does not contact me in a week, will he/she be disqualified?

yes bubbles, you will have a first round opponent. and they have 3 days to contact you from when the tournament bracket is released. if they do not contact you then they automatically forfeit.
