i just got the u.s. release and i have to say this is the worst game ever. the game play is too fast the ai is stupid and you can score too easy when inside of the box. the good thing about the game is the reponse when shooting comparing with fifa and the refs and fouls but overall the game is terrible. i tried to go live and there is nobody playing this game. i just posted the game in craigslist for sale after about an hour playing it. konami just lost a customer, i guess i'll play fifa from now on.

Very true, I just bought Fifa as I am sick of winning by a stupid amount of goals every match and now am happy with a realistic game of football. Nobody plays online anymore because of the terrible lag issues.

Being a massive and loyal Pro Evo fan since the ISS days on SNES, I was/am greatly disappointed with Konami's latest offering. However, I managed to pick up PES6 in Tesco for £6 yesterday and it is much better, particularly online. The play is much slower and its not so easy to sprint past defenders. It's just so SMOOTH online, and actually playable, unlike the pitiful PES 08! I recommend getting hold of a cheap copy until PES 2009 comes out, peeps are still playing it too.

Thats what happens when you play the game on beginner, try upping the difficulty level.

Yeah try proffesional because im still loving this game offline and i got it on day of release, havent put it down once!

I've also been a long time supporter of PES and I too am very dissapointed with this one. What's going on Konami? You've fallen in to the vicious cycle of just turning out games every year and do little to no changes. You think you're EA now? I've tried to stay away from giving my hard earned money to EA. I'm a fan of futbol as much as anyone but when Konami turns out basically the same game as last year, and slaps a new cover on it makes me think they really dont give a sht about us. They're in it for the money. Enough of this BS already. I might not buy another footy game for a while, even though this new demo of fifa09 plays better than all the tittles combined in the past.
