Are these excersises actually good for your brain? At least a little?

^

Just wondering. The excersises are fun nevertheless.

I was going to say the same thing about the math ones. I just got it yesterday and I can tell that I'm solving simple equations a bit faster.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it's hilarious.

It's probably better than all the drugs I've been taking.

Apparently they're not really that good for you.

They are good at improving your abilities to perform the task at hand but it's no better than doing crosswords or sudoku puzzles, or just playing a lot of Halo which would improve your skill at doing crosswords, sudoko or being shot repeatedly by over excitable teenagers but not really help too much with balancing your bank account.

I guess you would get a bit of benefit in "real life" if you did suddenly find yourself morphed into a tiger frantically trying to ride your bike away from a maniac driver whilst filling in a puzzle book. ;-)

P.S. I was generalising based on lots of the halo players I've come across, please don't take offence if you're actually an over excitable adult ;-)

Ones that will help you are those really hard ones. Or just pay attention in math class. It literally made me a human calculator.

Practicing anything like these exercises are good for your brain, its stimulation, and overall it will probably just make you a quicker thinker in similar situations.
Mark my words:

Jennifer's Body

will one day be a cult classic.

The mini-games are not going to make you any more intelligent, but they do improve your neurokinetics...if you are actually trying that is.  Take the arithmetic game for example...it is not going to teach you anything you didn't already know (unless for some reason you can't do simple calculations), but practicing them over and over will improve your response time.  I've noticed that I can perform those types of calculations in my head much faster now than I could before, but if you don't keep up with stimulating those parts of your brain then you will gradually lose it...  Any type of brain stimulation is good for it.  It is like a muscle, and like any other muscle it will get weaker if you don't use it.

As far as the stress tests go, I'm  not so sure.  I am no better at multitasking than I was before, and I've been playing the game for a long while.  Multitasking might be one of those things that you can either do or you can't...
