Is there a patch to make a game not suck?
Even the trial is a waste of time. And that's supposed to be what pulls you in, getting you to want to pay for the whole thing.

I believe an airplane is heavier than a car, so when I answered so on several occasions it said my answer was incorrect.

On top of that, the graphics are just awful. Even if you knew an airplane is heavier than a car, it's hard to understand what the worthless graphics are meant to represent.

Has anyone had any enjoyment from playing this game?

I love this game! You totally missed the point. Don't think about how much the items actually weigh. You know a car weighs more than a toaster. They're just objects to represent a certain unknown weight. You have to figure out which one weighs the most based on what's on the scales. It's kind of hard to explain in a post. If you know anyone personally that got the game, ask them about it. You'll get it.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it's hilarious.

Hmmm... I'll definitely give it another look then. Thanks for the input.

Had the same issue, great post.  I just missed the boat, needed to read the instructions a bit more closely.  Fun game in an educational sort of way :)

What if it is a really small airplane and a really big car? :)

It's obvious (to most) after a few tries that you need to ignore the real-world implications and treat them as abstract objects for the purposes of the test.

That being said, there's no reason why they should have used real-world objects for that test to begin with - trying to intentionally throw off a person's natural response when comparing an airplane to a car isn't testing anyone's "logic" skills. The "logic" part of the test is in analyzing the scales displayed and deducing that "A implies B implies C".

That's not the only puzzle in the game that was poorly designed. There are some good puzzles that really do exercise the skills they claim to, and then there are others that have virtually nothing to do with the category they're in.

Not to mention the fact that ALL of the puzzles are testing your skills with an xbox controller FAR more than any other mental skills. But I guess there's not much they can do about that.

This game gets very boring and repetitive after a little while.

* sighs *

Who's Got the Biggest Brain on Facebook appears almost identical to this game. Not to insult you either, but apparently you've already received your first lesson in reasoning from the game... Stick out tongue [:P]

Some of the games, like Hard Garage or Matchsticks or sometimes Balance, clearly defy that claim.

No, OP has a good point. The rules for the balancing game are the most misleading, and the game does a terrible job of communicating to the player that the objects on the scales are really just arbritrary figures and shouldn't be interpreted as representing real cars, boats, cell phones.

It was a really poor choice to put that mini game in the demo, much less the first thing you see in the demo.

Re: Is there a patch to make a game not suck?

And you don't think that's a bit detailed for a game whose premise has been recycled and recompiled from various other creator's games?

I realize the misunderstanding however I still think we're quibbling over the difference of whether or not you should look to the sky or at my finger when I'm pointing up. If the OP's assumption was correct then there should have been number weights and it would have been a math game instead of something that is simply visually based. The point is that there are two assumptions you can make for that game. Only one is the right one.

Re: Is there a patch to make a game not suck?
The trick is to not over-think what the game asks you. If it's asking you which is heavier - and you next see a scale with three apples tilted all the way down on one scale and 2 jumbo airliners tilted all the way up on the other scale - you've got to take the simple route - the apples weigh more because the scale is tilted in their favor...

So it becomes more of a "let's see how fast I can get past my reasoning and logic to see the simple answer before I lose out to the game" situation. The game then attempts to mess with your mind because you will naturally assume that heavier objects are heavier at times simply because you know them to be...while in reality the scale will show the opposite to be true at times.

It's tricky I will admit...but not impossible once you know.

Measurement:
Car = 10Kg
Plane = 5Kg

You are not going to say the plane is more heavy just by the fact thats its a plane. You are going to look at the measurement and assume they are correct.
For that matter it can be a plastic plane and a normal car or something like that.

I bet they use real life objects to put a finger on "outside of the box thinking", just in a pretty weak unnecessary way.
