It's not his fault that the average gamer (much like the average person) isn't very bright...

If Frogger is doing that much better than SG The world has gone insane. Or more likley probably the whole world has bought rose tinted specs.

SG is criminally underrated though.  Real shame.....

Too true.

It's a shame his responses to anyone who contacts him on LiveJournal without endlessly praising his feeble attempt at a game is cursed at and then banned from responding or commenting on his LiveJournal.  Apparently, until we develop some strange obsession over farm animals, we're all incapable of understanding his brilliance.

I'm glad I didn't waste any money on his worthless game, and you can be darned sure I won't even be bothering with demos from llamasoft, or anything else Minter's involved with, in the future.

I can't say I'm surprised to see the likes of Transformers and Fantastic 4 on your list of played games...

Wow.  Someone who's 'mastered' Viva Pinata is commenting on what games I've played?  What is the world coming to? Do they let the kiddies have internet access in daycare now?  Shouldn't it be nap time?

I love how more teens/adults have played that game then kids...plus Viva Pinata > FF4&Transformers

Since our opinions in this thread appear to only be validated by what games we've played, I'm afraid yours don't count either - since you've played King Kong and spent way too much time with Yaris, you're just a gamerscore fiend.  Thanks, please drive through and come again.

Unfortunately, if you actually PLAYED Viva Pinata, you'd be aware that it really isn't a kid's game.  It may look like one, but unless you know a lot of toddlers with reasonably advanced logical and problem-solving abilities, I'm guessing not a lot of kids in daycare would be able to really play this game, let alone "master" it.

I'm sorry...I know it's not normal, but...I can't help it.

Re: Awwww Jeff...

Viva Pinata is a game with incredible depth.  I actually bought the guid for it because there is so much to it.

Just because someone has played King Kong doesn't make them a gamerscore fiend.  It's a satisfying, enjoyable and cheap action title.

Anyway, Frogger outselling Space Giraffe is criminal.  SG is one of the finest video gaming creations there's ever been.  I know Jeff said he'll be putting out more XBLA stuff because he needs to turn a bigger profit on the engine but I hope he sticks with XBLA long term.  He should have priced the game at 800 points, his stuff doesn't have mass appeal and I reckon 99.97% of the people who bought it would have paid twice what they did.

100%:
Carcassonne,Doom,Jewel Quest,Shadow Assault,Uno
COD2&4,Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires,Just Cause,Tomb Raider:Legend

I definitely agree. I would have gladly paid even 1200 points for it.

Re: Awwww Jeff...
I was suprised it was only 400 points.  Pleased but suprised.  Would have paid 800 for it no problem (although 1200 is a lot for an arcade game).  The thing that made the price tag more suprising is that, at the time, the arcade remakes seemed to be 400 points and the original stuff was 800.

Hoo humm. Hopefully the next game does much better for Llamasoft.
