The information below was written by Crucible5. It does work, as you can check my gamerscore and see that I just got the achievement.
Hey guys,Like many others, I have had the same problem with not getting the Private First Class achievement due to getting elite/realistic in Vegas 1 (you know the story)...RESETING YOUR RANK IN R6V2! (at your own risk).1. Start up your 360, but do not sign into any accounts/gamertags.2. Load up Vegas 2.3. Press start at the main menu.4. Now at this point the Character Creation screen will pop up with a message saying you will not be able to save because you're not signed in etc. Press A and then B to cancel back to the main menu.5. Press your guide button and sign into your desired account/gamertag. As soon as it has signed in, press the guide button to close the dashboard blade and then press start directly after (quickly).6. This will take you back to the character creation screen with the same message about not being able to save. The only difference is, you're signed into your account/gamertag you wanted reseting. Then all you have to do is select your gender, face options and hit accept. Job done.Hope this helps you out!

doesnt work tried it a million times. im an elite and i want to redue my whole rank. it doesnt work...
If you follow the directions fully, it will work. As I said, it worked for me and several others. How else do you think that I got the achievement after completing the story mode on Realistic, and my rank was a Staff Sergeant. Just make sure you go to the dashboard, sign out of your profile, load Vegas 2, then hit Start, then hit A and then B, then hit the guide button (the round button in the middle of the controller), sign in, then hit the guide button again and QUICKLY hit start. It will ask you to select male or female for your character. Select one, and then just hit accept, and your rank will be a recruit. Play through level 1 on Realistic, and you will get the achievement.

Can you get you old rank back if you reset or is it when you reset you lose everything for good.

Ummm the whole Elite thing there is wrong.....I played RSV 1 once so of course never made it up rank,however my game still carried over & I didn't receive the PFC achievement as well. You don't have to be high rank,it's just a bug & you happen to be at that rank when you started RSV 2 & then it happen to you. I'm just making that clear I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happen to while not even being ranked up at all when going into RSV 2. So it's not due to that of what you say it's just a common bug thats all.(I'm just letting you know,I'm not running you down by any means here)

i dont know.... all i know this glich worked and iam so happy i got the full 1000, now i can trade it in lol.
this was the last achievement i got so i couldnt tell you.... ive been playin for a little bit and everything seems normal!
