I don't quite understand the meaning of this achievement. I am on the third island, and the achievement description is to survive in Hel's domain without the need for immortality. Do they refer to survive on the entire island without reviving? Or to survive the last battle in Hel's fortress/domain?

as far as i know you have to beat the final battle without dying

It's really easy to get. Hel is a pushover. She just takes the form of a giant and has all the same attacks.

When I was climbing hel's fortress I died many times. When I was beating the totems in Hel's fortress I died quite a few times. However, when it came to the final battle against Hel I did not die (when she transformed and initiated the QTE). I got the achievement,

To make it more clearer, just don't die when she turns into a giant.

Simple enough. Before reading my post once more, I attempted the boss battle. Out of the entire "battle" outside and inside of the fortress, I died once. I received the achievement earlier today.
