Graphics are decent. Whats so bad about this game?

I've Played the demo myself. From what I've seen. The gameplay was kind of "iffy". It kinda reminded me of retarded child of Oblivion and Two Worlds. This is just my opinion. I am not one to bash games like most of the other gamers out there. Im sure there is plenty of people who may be wondering the same thing is you. The fighting was similar to oblivion which is a plus since I liked Oblivion. The game should of gotten maybe a 4 or 5. Every game has fans im not one to tell them that the game they love sucks.

Finally, a mature response.  Good to know there are still some constructive and intelligent gamers out there.

I can't stand the people who bash everything. A friend and I hate people who do that glad to see were are not the only ones.

I think the game it self, is playable, but it´s old. Maybe if the game was released 2 years ago, it would be lot better.

uh..... this game WAS released 2 years ago... on PC.  Which was a *** of a lot better version I might add...

the game got low rating because of all the in game issues also? it feels more like a Beta then a completed version.

i rented the game and couldnt get pass the first 10 min.to many glitches and the framerate was killn me!!!!

Maybe this explains why I saw it for 10$ today at Blockbuster. Was mighty tempted to just buy it instead of renting Unreal Tournament 3 - but besides time, I was quite dubious about the low cost.

i got the game the first day it came out, personally i liked it but stopped playing due to no one playing online.

I would guess because of the insane amount of glitches. It seems everytime i turn around im getting stuck in walls or the disc is freezing up. Its fun and very similar to Arkane Studios first game like it Arx Fatalis, which was a blast to me so it brought me back. :)

i believe this game was a last gen game that they ported to the 360 and thats why it got bad reviews.  i think it deservers a 6 out of 10

I wasnt too sure either. I havent had any problems with glitches, the graphics are better than some ive played IE Two worlds. Sure the story is generic but somtimes the old ways are still good. I felt the game deserved a 6 or 7 rather than that pathetic score it recieved. Sometimes the reviewers really go harsh on one game but go easy on others that truely sucked.

Yes, the game is buggy on the pc, and I hear the 360 version is worse. The game does however have a decent story, with multiple endings, four in all.
Also, this game is not a RPG. Its more like a FPS in a fantasy setting. There is little customization, and very limited gear options.

Its a fun game, and if you can pick it up cheap, its worth playing.

Someone mentioned Arx Fatalis, yea, the same people worked on this game, but Arx was far deeper and more complex. The influence is there though.

Agreed, Arx was better but the 360 port was fun to play and it felt similar

I played the demo too this game... and even tho it was'nt like a top notch next-gen type of game, it still packs some flare+story line. Also remember playing the old  might n magic for playstation haah now that was crappy but still fun for that time period. Overall i agree the game should of scored abit higher then it did....

i think this game is liniear and would have been better if it wasnt other than that i have no problem with it graphics are ok the combat is better than oblivions just walking in a straight line kills me

I would like to shed light on this game the graphic were pretty decent they had shoddy audio sound so you cant tell if someone was coming up behind your lvling in this was wanting to much and you could never make it to the highest cause there is not enough enemies to do so the bosses are mentally retarded ecspecailly the last one the game play was intresting so much fun booting your enemies of ledges and story was very optional otherwise you had choice do good or bad deeds you pick overall this wasnt bad but not rly worth permanatly owning i would suggest renting o and one more thing stupid things can kill you in a very ironic way we will call it a glitch

I played thru with a warrior and a assassin and leveled both of them to the max long before the final boss

i played the 360 demo for this....and i played the Dark messiah of might and magic demo on the pc... the single player for 360 didn't feel at all that great... but.. the pc game demo was good... i believe this game is meant for pc... and i do think that is where it should remain.... BUT, i fell in love with the multiplayer on the 360 demo... but sadly just about the same amount of people who play the demo probly play the full game... so i will not be getting this, sadly

the whole game is a rip off from other games. and the action is fun..when it doesn't bug on you and freeze or just instantly kills you out of nowhere. The story is the basic 'the master used me and betrayed me and I must get vengeance'

We the Messiah's of Darkness yielding the full 1000G don't come out very much, but when we do its because we are laughing at the crap people like you post. :-P

so you like a horrible game. as I said I never could completly finish it as it kept bugging, crashing and I got sick of starting over every time. if you had the time & patience to play through all of it  and start over all the time then good for you. I'm not the only person that hates this game & thinks it shouldn't even be released.

Agreed, those of us with the full 1000 truely know that it was a great game. I for one never ran into any glitches, freezes, or slow loading. But maybe thats cause I dont have a sh*tty xbox.

Love it!

I miss the multi-player tho. My fault for giving it up and moving on to other games, but still... it was very different, awesome fun and with like minded people it ruled the best part of early 2008! Was a beautiful journey from start to the full 1000G. The memorys will never die!

I know what you problem is Swords....your trying to compare it to Oblivion which is a RPG. Dark Messiah is a FTS. Except with swords. You may think im BS but look it up. Its considered a FPS which doesn’t even put it in the same category as Oblivion. So trying to compare them is like apples and oranges.
