The only thing I've heard is that " It's going to be a major revamp" which sounds like good news, but all that means is that is sounds like good news. Hopefully they shy away from the direction they went with proving ground.

Meh, they say that about every upcoming THPS game though. They'll add some cool new features, then add some total BS features that spoil the game (i.e. the rigging and camera missions in THPG). THP8 was the closest they've come to a perfect THPS game since the early games, even with the lame bail missions. Hopefully they'll finally get it right this time, because imo THPG is the worst in the series..

Yeah THPG was definitely the worst. I don't see why they don't just bring back the old style. Even if it just had new levels with either TH4- THAW physics it would definitely be worth it. They need to take out all the bs features they've added in THPG.

Another P8/PS4 would do me minus the bail for points it would be a 10/10 game.

Anything but THPG would get a 10/10 imo. A THUG/ THAW mix of a game would be great.

Never got round to playing THUG's. The style of THAW was nice it seemed a lot faster paced. P8 was simply amazing. The speed seemed slow so it took a little getting used to but when I got used to that the game grew on me like mad. PG was also a lot of fun for me. If they didn't change the balance meter and the style of graphics (it seemed to look like P8's predecessor in that department). I would of called it an excellent game. I hope the next hawks is twice the difficulty of P8 though. That will keep me going for ages and give the game a lot more satisfaction :)

I'm not saying THPG was a bad game by itself, but compared to the godliness that is the rest of the series, it doesn't hold a candle. The levels are terrible, online sucks, balance meters are a joke; you can continue a combo forever without too much skill, and just the physics. The speed is slow (though it worked with p8), features are terrible, leaderboards are a joke, I can't honestly name a single thing about PG that compares with the rest of the series.

i dont know if you heard but spazzcore told me that neversoft was going to do a seperate game for the PC that brought back the fast paced style of the older TH games.

i dont know if thats true or not but if it is then i need to get a new PC!!

I think its a good decision. Neversoft has got there hands full with GH and a new set of minds on the series might not be the worse thing to happen to the TH series. I can wait for the next installment and I hope that it can bring back something the series has kinda lost.

I always thought Tony Hawk's Underground was amazing! Especially the storyline! Where you literally rise and fall on your career and such! It was really cool. =] Hopefully the new TH game will have a new wicked storyline! That actually makes sense.

I quite liked the story to THAW but man the goals where just too easy... I mean a 6 year old could do them...

Project 8 had a fairly decent story and was a great challenge.

Proving grounds story was??? God knows what that story was but it was challenging. 1 classic / 2 hawkmans where hard work.

Never got to play underground but i've heard mixed opinions... is that for 360 or orig xbox?

underground 1 and 2 were for the last gen consoles, American Wasteland was a last gen game and it was ported to the 360 (they didnt do too much of a good job with that)

Well, Skate. absolutely demolished TH's sales, so they're most likely revamping the game to compete with Skate. THat could mean realism, gasp!

If it's anything like skate I wont be buying it... seriously doubt they would do that. Neversoft are hardcore and like to give people a challenge. They just are not going to make a change to the arcadey unrealistic approach as that's what tony hawks is all about. Oh yea... sales mean nothing. I mean look how many sales halo 3 got. The biggest pile of turd ever made.
