In what mode can you eat the crown and how many fruits and other delicious foods have to be eaten?

I forget how many fruits you have to eat before the crown appears (about 8?) but it will appear on any mode assuming you eat enough. Just keep focusing on those fruits as soon as you see them. Crowns are worth a ridiculous amount of points and they are vital to getting the high score acheivement as well.

Go with one of the 10-minute rounds.  You could do it on the 5-min round too, if you focus on just one half of the board....

Weird, I have the achievement but never ate the crown ^_^.

I'll try simply eating fruits from one side of the board lime pacmantab mentioned.

So noone knows exactly how many fruits to eat before getting the crown.

I believe it's nine.

Seven fruit, the Galaga ship, the bell.. then the crown. It has to be on one side though, so choose left or right.

I did this using the Extra 2 Mode, and it took a few tries to get right, but once I got used to using the right side and pretty much only the right side, I wound up scoring about four crowns in a row to end the game.  I spent less time chasing after ghosts as well, so my score wasn't as high as the first time I completed the Extra 2 Mode.  I'd go to the left when I had no alternative, and I'd use the power pellets on that side when I had ghosts in my way from getting back to the right side.
