Not everyone has given up.
They just delete the posts that talk about the legal options others are pursuing.

Sad isn't it? They would rather aliennate their customers than admit they were wrong and fix the issue. I only got half the game that was advertised but they want me and you to absorb the full cost. My wife and I've spent more than $500 so far this year on games for this system. I like supporting American companies since the Japanese won't give  development support. I wouldn't like to, but I guess I'm being forced to start buying from resellers . At least I can get a  refund from them  if the game doesn't work.

I emailed Xbox support a day or two after the game came out, asking if there'll be a patch, or if they will consider giving me a refund of the points. I've had no reply, so I dropped them another line tonight saying that it's clear they've got no intention of patching the online mode, so I want my points back. We'll see if this goes anywhere.

You can try the FTC; which is what I did. The FTC is the second stop (the final is the courts the first is the BBB) but the Problem is that the FTC won't do anything until there are several complaints that show a pattern of abuse and fraud. Two episodes are coincience, but since this is the third time they have done this, iI see a trend that needs to stop.
I have placed my complaint.
You can complain here https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01.
MS won't move until it affects their pocket book.

FYI do like I do check out the community forums before purchasing arcade titles. Kept me from making the mistake of buying this title. With the DRM issue I am very picky about what content downloads I pay for. Also don't give up Microsoft bumbles around alot, but on big things like this they are pretty good at making amends. Just takes them awhile...

With time you will get online multiplayer.

I'm worried about the local multiplayer. It was advertised with it and that is why I bought it. Also, this is the Third time they have done this. Lumines, Crackdown (a full price game), and now this. I'm tired of saying "Oh Well" and eating the cost. It is not right. We wouldn't put up with a Brick and Mortar store. Why should we put up with this?
We need to complain to the authorities, the
FTC, and if that fails... Fight back in court.
