agreed, any achievement that requires the cooperation of 999 other players is just stupid.

As for the top in the world achievements I'm torn.  Part of me loves that someone who reaches the top of the leaderboards gets the recognition, but part of me hates any achievement that requires you to be the best in the world.

How do you even get Black Pearls?

One of the dumbest achievements, in my opinion, was the Purple Heart achievement on CoD3. Easily obtained if you attempt to beat the game on it's Veteran level (I managed to get to the forest level, but no further).

The dumbest achievement is Top in the World on GRAW and the easiest is play on online match for THP8

i love a challenge or two lol but some achievements are silly but then again you have to work for it....

i mean they give you games like king kong and fifa 06 to get ya points up....

i know that some people will never get them and i know im one of them but if they were all that easy you would get bored very fast so i think they did the right thing.....

 

plus you could always keep the game and play it to death in a year or so and i imagine not many people will b on then and you can get ya achievements then lmao (just kiddin)

almost all the achievments in madden 06 are pointless...win a game ...score a touchdown...im seriously i got 7 achievment the first game i played  the only semi hard one is 30 years in franchise but if u sim the season its easy but time consuming

I have to think that some of the Achievements in Test Drive Unlimited are insane. Gah...I gave up with that one.

RS:Vegas has some good ones, and the easiest would be 'Pistoleer" ( kill 150 tangos with pistol) and 'Executioner'(kill 500 tangos).

All achievements with zero points are worthless. All achievements from the sports launch titles are worthless. The most impossible achievement is definitely GRAW's Top of the World... and you don't even get that much for it.

I agree with everyone that GRAW's achievement is hard and that you don't even get much. But the two dumbest achievements I've seen is in TMNT 1989 Arcade "In the Dark" -fall into a manhole five times, took me like 15 seconds to do it- and beating King Kong-1000 points! I didn't beat King Kong, but it's definitely not worth as much as GRAW's.

GRAW's #1 achievements are the worst thing ever, because mostly everyone who has all 3, didn't get them legit.

PGR3 also has some very hard achievements.

COD 3, has multiplayer achievements that take forever to get!

Also Joust, Robotron 2084, and Smash TV have near impossible achievments.

That was the main point of the achievements. I had fun getting them. But I do agree that the hard ones like Genocider were worth 20 points. And the worst part of getting that achievement to get the RMB: I didn't know you had to get an ending, so I killed myself and restarted the game. No RMB. I got very mad at Dead Rising.

That's because when doing Genocider you're nearly invincible. During Infinite, your health drains constantly AND you have to play 10-14 hours altogether. Well, at least your 360 has to stay on that long.

dumbest achievements would be the one in tmnt 1989 arcade where you have to fall in a manhole 5 times for 0 points.  another one is for the up and coming spiderman 3 game you have to commit suicide or splat on the ground like 3 times.
