Heh, makes me even wonder if even downloading the demo or video trailer is asking for something like this.

I don't think it makes you a perv. I think it's better to watch females wrestle than sweaty halfnaked guys in spandex wrestle. It's just a game. Now buying the guy game probably does make you a perv.

Well, between either getting this game, or getting DOA Extreme 2, I really can't make up my mind, but either way, just as long as I play this game at night when everyone's asleep, then I won't feel nearly as perverted.

Re: Does buying this game make me a pervert??

In regards to the OP, buying the game does not make you a pervert.  Enjoying the game does not make you a pervert.  And mastering your character or customizing their appearance does not make you a pervert.  Watching or playing female or male wrestling does not make you a pervert.

Using photoshoot mode can very well make you have perverted thoughts.  There's nothing wrong with this (hahaha, somebody is gonna take this post outta context someday).  Having thoughts of attraction to the opposite gender only proves your mind understands what it is the designer's were intending when they put photoshoot mode in there or unnecessarily provocative costumes.  It also shows that your biological functions and desires for the female figure are in tact.

Now if you are a female, you might discover things about yourself that you may find difficult to explain to your guardians / parents.  When playing a game like this, it is best to swallow your pride and come clean so you can enjoy the gameplay for what it is and appreciate the character personas as they are.

Do not be lured into this game for its achievements.  If you try to earn them honestly, you will go insane!  In my opinion, it is better to play with characters that you enjoy using and do any achievement unlocking you can / want with them as you learn more about the game itself.

I'm about 60 hours into this game - loving every minute of it - ok, I like fighting games like this, but the real reason I really like this game is for 1) they go for realistic models, not anime and 2) because it blatantly caters to just about every single fetish I can think of!

Period!!

I could think of a lot more, but I don't think that helps the case of buying this game and perversion not being related.

if you buy this game to watch the girls dance and stretch in photoshoots then yes you are a pervert but if you buy it to play a wrestling game or get achievements then i think it is fine and if i did get it, i would only watch the photoshoots so dont worry about being the only perv out there

Re: Does buying this game make me a pervert??

haha - ok - i'll admit it - I purposely figure out the button combos to get ganmen koogeki (face attack fetish) moves.  There are a couple characters that do this so perfectly with the nostrils, its amazing.  And I don't think I would ever even use Dixie if she wasn't the oshiri submission queen, her butt up on someones face on the ropes always gets a smile from me.  And maybe I have more than one kyatto faito DVD in my collection, which is basically what this game is even without the photoshoots.  On other notes, It definatly has every kind of sock any person could imagine, knee high, loose, dirty..  Nice attention to detail adding the highschool swimsuit and swappable bottoms for the highschool uniform. Great coverage of latex and leather and some of the humiliation moves are completly over the top.

So, the game will not make you into a pervert, but it has alot of potential.

:P

I have both RRXX and DOAX2. I enjoyed the fighting in RR and the volleyball in DOAX1. So, I got the sequels. Both have easy achievements, though one of them is more time consuming than the other. I'm not an achievement junkie, but they do give me something to shoot for. Plus, until SVR08 comes out, I want some other wrestling game and RRXX is my only choice.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS.

Re: R: Re: Does buying this game make me a pervert??

Your question has been answered a lot, but I think I'll go ahead and give my opinion here.

Buying the game does not make you a pervert. Using photoshoot mode or buying the smallest swimsuits and so forth do not make you a pervert...Well, maybe slightly. They're only thoughts though, I doubt anybody has made awkward sexual advances toward their telly, or at least I pray they haven't.

Now, on the other hand:

Buying Rez and the Trance Vibrator makes you a pervert. Masturbating to Rumble Roses XX makes you a pervert ((shudder)).

I just wish people could buy whatever interests them without being called a pervert for it. It mainly happens with men, but that's not the point. We all have perverse thoughts about one thing or another, so why should it matter what we want to do? Unless you know every little thing that makes a certain human being a bit...Awkward(?), you can't call them a pervert for something. That's like if a girl bought the game (not judging here, just giving an example that may or may not be true, I don't know) and got called a *** or something (which hey, there's nothing wrong with an alternative lifestyle) when maybe she just wanted a wrestling game that featured all women that could do more unlike the restrictions in WWE games. When have you ever seen some girl beat someone with a guitar and flip all over the place in amazing detail on a WWE game? Answer that.

Now I'm just rambling. I wonder if there's a topic asking if any women bought this or not. ***, I'm one of the least perverse people you'll meet and I bought this because I played a demo and thought it was fun. Sure, just like everyone else I have my certain 'tastes' but nothing to do with the game and sure I may come up with a perverted joke or two if provoked, but who doesn't do these things? It shouldn't matter what other people think of you as long as you enjoy it. Well, that doesn't mean to go and pleasure yourself in public, but you get the point.

EDIT: I can't believe it, they censored a sexual orientation. Come the *** on! Well, judging from the context, you should get what I meant with, "That's like if a girl bought the game (not judging here, just giving an example that may or may not be true, I don't know) and got called a *** or something "

No, actually it doesn`t make you a pervert, no more than playing Vice City makes you a gangster.

I can't believe this post is actually still alive. For heaven's sakes.......pi$$ off! I'm not a perv for owning a video game for god's sake! No one is.....even if they do dab at the string and knobs to it! Perverse is stealing underwear, or being a peeping tom. Playing a video game is me still being a kid and not letting go. So the game has nothing but women in it.......so what?!!! People in the US are so semi-puritanical...it really is a bore. Move on....Cotton Mather died hundreds of years ago...jeez.

If a guy plays this game he's a perv, but it's ok if he plays a wrestling game with a bunch of half-naked men groping each other??!!.  If RRXX makes you a pervert, then let me be one.  My wife happens to like this game too.

What's with all the pervert topics anyway?

Re: Does buying this game make me a pervert??

Buying and playing a wrestling game with top heavy women in tight revealing clothes makes you no more a pervert than buying and playing a wrestling game with Adonis style men in tight revealing clothes. Playboy's The Mansion no more makes you Hugh Hefner any more than Ninja Gaiden 2 makes you a master of martial arts and dismemberment.

Perspective.

I have to wonder if the shoe is on the other foot when people think, "He plays Rumble Roses, he must be some kind of sicko." Let us face the facts, here. I am sitting, fully clothed, in front of the TV and interacting with a game that has women but, at no point, did anyone say people who sit at home, fully clothed, and watch Baywatch were perverts. The next thing to consider is, what is running through the head of the finger pointer if they feel the need to attach perverse action to a video game?

Does buying this game make me a pervert??

I agree with the above poster, furthermore:

1)I think a great deal of the older gamers-like myself-out there who remember niche' fighting games from back in the day( like Asuka 120% or Advanced VG for the playstation), longed for those games with anime-imspired plots, deep rivalries, colorful characters and over-the-top moves. Rumble Roses fits that category well.

2)I think the word 'pervert' is GREATLY overused in this country. I think that term is meant to describe "one who wishes to do un-natural or lewd acts to another with or without their consent" ,right?  Well, what would you want to do to these female replicas??? Feed them to mutated hungry bears? Tie them to the front of a locomotive going 175 mph off a cliff??? I mean, dont we look at video game females just to admire their design and enjoy a little control when you know, in REAL life, you just can't control them ?!?

3)Just to finish off, nothing wrong with  imagining you're enjoying a little bang-bang, ok?   ........just so long as you're a guy  ^_^

No offense, but if their minds were so open, why is there no such thing as a Japanese Businesswoman?  Discrimination, on many levels, exists everywhere, but in Japan, it's so heavily-ingrained into the culture to expect women to practically bow down to every man.  Anyway, not to start a flame or anything, just pointing it out.
