Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

Thank you for this info. I can't wait for the demo.

I still keep my PSX around for the first 2 Tenchu games.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ
Can anyone who has the Jap version tell me if you get anything special as far as clothes and accessories go from Grandmastering missions?  Or just more cash?  For insance, a special outfit that can only be obtained by grandmastering a certain mission maybe?

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ
No, you don't get anything special from grandmastering the missions. Only more money to unlock things. You can get grandmaster on all 150levels (3difficulties x 50 missions) and if you have been buying a lot of random items to use then you still wont have acquired all of the clothing.

What type of clothing do they have?  Do different articles of clothing give you enhancements?  Like extra stealth or speed or power etc etc etc??  Do you get to buy weapons?  If so what kind?  Smoke bombs?

Sorry if all these questions are answered somewhere else or if by playing the demo.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

You can buy all the items that you could regularly find or earn, such as the shuriken, blow gun, colored rice, etc. There are also skills that you can buy. I am not sure about what all the clothing does, there was far too much of it for me to try and figure out.

Another aspect of it works like this. You start out with 150 points that you distribute to a circle that is divided into 3 pie sections. Red, Blue, Green. Distributing points to red increases your health bar, blue seems to be defense, and green i think is stealth or speed. As you progress you will eventually level up ( not sure what determines this) until you have 270 points to distribute. Many skills and clothes you can not use unless you have enough skill points in a certain catagory. You can switch up these skill points between any mission.

One thing that is different about this game is that there are not many bosses. Most of the bosses that there are, you can sneak up on and assassinate if you are stealthy enough.

Is it possible to composite 300 points to max out all three of these areas, or is 270 the highest you can go?

I'm sure the game won't let you max it out, becuase that leads to no optimatzion at all.

Mission 50 Cleared (50) Clear up to mission 50.

that cant be all the achievements, it only adds up 2 400 :S

I don't think it is but it's all the achievemtns I can find at the moment. The game has a co-op mode so I reckon there will be some for that too most likely.

In any case there is no set amount of achievements that a game should have.

Hey, have you heard of xbox360achievememts.org? Look there later this year, they should have all achievements for the game, before it comes out, they even have an upcoming games list section. That site is very useful.

Well, you don't get any clothing/skills/items by grandmastering a mission but you do unlock them in the shop by doing so. Of course, you still need to buy them afterwards.

That's how I saw it.

Oh and you get a few "funny" extra Accessories for completing the game once and for getting all the achievements, too.

Awesome! thanks for the clarification. As i said before, i can not read any Japanese, so i am limited to context clues. I was not interested in buying all the outfits, so i missed any that were "funny" accessories.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

Does anyone know if theres a lot of maps in tenchu z? Theres 50 missions in the game and ive heard that u have to replay some of the same maps in later missions.. is this true?

It could get quite repetative if they only have like 10 different maps.

there are 12 maps but what other games are coming out soon that aren't going to get repetative? You have your choice of Forza, Pirates of the Caribbean, Monster Madness, and a whole load of other repetative/horrible games.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ
I believe that each mission has it's own enemy layout, so even if it's the same map, the enemies will be located in different places.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

Its the same maps but the objectives change. sometimes you have to assassinate someone. sometimes you have to kill all the enemies. sometimes you have to collect 10 boxes. and the enemies change also. downside is that the levels are the same for all 3 difficulties so you arent gonna be playing each level 5 times you are gonna be playing them 15 times.

Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

can you change your hairstyle of your ninja after you first pick it or do you just pick it once and cant change it.

also if you cant change it: if you have long hair with a mask on does the hair stick out or what?
