Uh, yes I see what you did wrong, I provided you with a detailed discription below.

You put this as your signature:

Now I edited for you:

   Delete the text in Blue font from your signature, now it should work.

The reason I had to put this in my FAQ, becasue if I didn't put those "stars" in the link code, it messed up in my FAQ and it changed the font around for some reason.

Can I make a FAQ about posting?  Click the "Reply" button, enter text, press "Post", and voila!

OK guys I suggest that you don't start flaming. We don't need this thread ruined. The FAQ is helpful to some new users, not necessarily experienced ones. It goes in-depth too, and the moderators wouldn't have stickied it if they thought it didn't deserve it. As Cro Tech said on the first page of the thread:

However, there's also no need to hold your hand or kiss your *** when we talk to you, as most people seem to do here on xbox.com

Personally, this is the first time I've seen Cro post, I didn't know he existed, so I'd be silly to take everything he says as right.  I don't know him, who he is, what he does, etc.  Just because he thinks something is good, doesn't mean I, or everyone else do(es).  (Actually it does, msot people here kiss all Mods/MVP's asses)

I also wouldn't show him any more respect than I would any other member of this board.  His M CUL, icons, or anyone else's CUL doesn't mean ***, and is a flawed system.

As a matter of fact, IMO the most respectable person that posts here is a CUL 2.

I realize that they obviously wouldn't sticky it if it wasn't worthy (I've been around since early 2003 so I've been here a lot), but you seem to forget that most of the moderating team has transformed into mindless 10 year olds.

CroTech is probably one of the most popular Moderators on Xbox.com, I'm not saying he is all powerfull, but he does have good opinions and does a great job moderating the forums. He isn't no 10 year old either.

The reason I made this FAQ, is because making a sig. was a very frequentlly asked questions in this forum and a signature is a big aspect of Xbox.com and the new commers found this FAQ very helpful to them. I probablly got over 10 messages and PM's saying, "Thank you; this helped alot, etc."

I've never even heard of CroTech, so he's probably fairly new. I'd say Thesomeone is one of the most popular (and reasonable...).

Agreed, their are many 12 year olds posting the most useless things that they think will catch on.

Btw, I made that Halo 3 FAQ, it took me 4 weeks to make and I typed up all of that, except the Annoucement Trailer Walkthrough. I guarntee you won't find that exact FAQ. FAQ's on Xbox.com are their own, which is one of the reasons why this site is popular. If you want to know, I also created the Halo Wars FAQ, and the Halo 3 Beta FAQ.

I know Thesomeone, he moderated my FAQ's many times, espicially the Halo 3 FAQ. He is a great moderator and most defintally a good contributer. CroTech is not new to this forum, he's been here for years and does a nice job moderating.

Please, lets get back to subject.

Seriously, how many people read stickies anyway.  Hardly anyone knows the rules to forums, and they always ask tons of questions answered in FAQs all over, including the FAQs on the boards they're on.

UPDATE:

I have added the Signature? section, explaining what a signature is and where to go to set the preferences for the signature. I have also added a section under Link Your Signature:, explaining how to make your URL for a linked signature shorter, so it won't take up as much room in the 125 character limit in a signature. I also now added links explaining what a superscript and a subscript is in the Intro: section.
