i think that the ones that screwed up was MARVEL! since they were the ones that gave the date of release in the first place! and if you got into activision`s page of the game... there never was a mention of the date! but...yeah! the least they could do (activision) was letting us know what was happening and not be turning the xbox every 15 minutes to see if it was available....

Actually Activision did mention April 10th in an e-mail sent out to VIP members.

Well sometimes it seems to pay off being lazy. I've been so tired lately after work so I never even downloaded the AU, just went to bed instead. So if I decided to play now, I guess it would be as if the AU never even existed and my stats and saves are fine. Its still a shame they didnt test it better before releasing it. But its nice to finally get some info regarding the DLC though...

No more DLC if you have moved to another country ?

No answer anywhere on a possible date, that's a little shallow. The leaat anyone would expect is a date...even if this date happens to be two weeks out from when they expect. At least people wouldnt be expecting it as soon.

That fact that there is no date means that its going to be more than two weeks out.

Wow, this really sucks. First you screwed up my save games....and now to add insult to injury, you delay the DLC. At least I could have played with the new characters while you fix whatever you broke in the patch.

Thanks for nothing. Angry [:@]

Yes, because I'm sure you want DLC running the risk of *** up your game even more...

IGN reported that an Activision rep was quoted in saying the content would "be up in a few days, if that."

Even though I hate IGN with a passion, I'm taking consolation in that.  A few days?  Not as bad as it could be, I guess.

What happened to the game saves?  I've seen it mentioned a couple times.  I DL'd the update and the next day, two of my saves now say they are 'damaged'.  I had 7 comic missions to go and now it looks like I have to do all of them again.

Nothing like misquoting, there is a link earlier on in this thread to that article and its is an exact duplicate of what is posted here.  It is obviously the press release.

Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance XBL DLC

For those of you that are upset about the delay, it is understandable.

However, keep in mind that since many or most of you did not even expect to see a post from a Developer/Producer in this forum in the first place, it was actually quite nice that someone, especially Matthew Paul, actually came in and posted a message to inform all of us because it showed that they do care for the players.

If you guys play Viva Pinata and participate in the XBOX forum for VP or go to the PinataIsland.info forum, you will find that several developers for VP actually regularly participate and help others in the forum, as well as the Mods.  In that forum, we sincerely appreciate the presence of those DEVs, that come in on their own time to share their info and knowledge with the rest of us.

So the fact that Matthew has come forward with this news is a good indicator to us that they probably do monitor and care for this forum and its players, so let's not give him such a hard time about the delay.  I am sure that there was a good reason for the delay.  Sometimes things are just out of our control.

I would hate for the bashing to discourage him and other DEVs from MUA to want to ever participate and post info in this forum ever again.

I played MUA a while back and posted a lot of info for you all here, but I too was extremely excited about the DLC only to see this post.  But if you do like this game a lot, then waiting a little bit more should not be a huge deal for you, right?

Just be patient.  I would rather see that they do a good job with this DLC instead of rushing it for the deadline and cause more problems for us.

Thank you all.

I've been following these forums for some odd time now and i must agree with ghostgundam on this, the fact that matthews even spoke shows that they did not mean for this to happen and that they are definately working on the problems.

It's bad practise for a company to advertise a item to come out then just pull it back so close to the release like this, very bad in my piont of view.  As for this update that destories game data *** I know if it happaned to mine no way would I just take it, I'd probbly just get rid of the game, not paying  £50 for sloppy programming

Im sure that the company is quite aware of the situation with our corrupted files, which is more than likely part of the reason that they havent given us much news. Im sure that when they fix the DLC that it will correct the corrupted data.

At least I can give someone credit for having their head on their shoulders and being brave enough to come in this forum and post something about the game.  He came in, introduced himself to us all and told us they are in the process of fixing the games problems.  Hats off.  Thanks for the post.

As GhostGundam said, try to be patient. It certainly is disappointing to have the deadline extended, but please atleast extend common courtesy to the Dev posting here. Bashing and flaming him won't solve anything, and could just wind of having you 'in the dark' if you're looking for info on something. Besides that, he's certainly atleast not the only one at fault here, if there really is any on his end anyway, so all of it is unwarranted.

i'm really bummed out, but i can wait.

i've been very excited about breathing some new life into my game because the Activision/Raven Marvel games have been awesome so far (XML 1/2 and MUA are a blast).

just remember, everyone makes mistakes.  having someone let us know there's a problem is a good step.

Yes. There is no reason we cant give them support to getting this corrupted data fixed. THEY dont need to launch the DLC in the first place. And frankly, none of us are in the position to be giving demands.

Well said Ghost, however I seriously don't think they found the issue( whatever it is?) a day after submitting to MS. I think most of the fans that extremenly bother by this is because of the delay non-official announcements(if any official so far???) on the patch/update delay with NO futher information on that regard after the fact.  I respect your position as a peace keeper, but I also respect the fans that are truly angry about this. Mattew, next time please contact the PRESS !! or give an official noticed on the publishers WEBSITE.  thanks,
