Re: 1000/1000 Club

Well I just got the game 2 days ago.  I'm about 33 percent complete since I've been able to play a little on my days off from work.  I've got almost 3 hours total racing time.  I was trying to do the whole game on Pro but uhhhh...I found myself wasting alot of time attemtping some of the same races over and over again, so I bumped it down to Pro Am for some of them.  I guess if you've had it for over a week now in the UK and you've completed it, that's ok.  My first reaction was that if someone only had this game for 3 or 4 days and completed it, then you must have no job, no kids, no friends, etc.  But I could see it completed in a week.

And as far as the comment "You need to learn when games come out in other countries" goes.... No we don't.

We don't give a f%^& when games come out in other countries.  Except Flatout which came out a full 6 months in the UK before in the US.   But a few days?  So what...

I agree with the difficulty forcing you to do the stage flawlessly.  I play on Pro, and I think I'm on Tier 6.  I think I did one of the Hill Climb events with 20+ restarts just to get past the first part, because it was so hard.  Pike's Peak with that car with the spoiler on the hood.  Darn 25 MPH signs giving me terminal damage and making my tires come out from under me...either I've got a weak car, or that's one strong sign!

Oh bugger, another 4 - 5 hours of driving time for me.

Then ill trade it for another game. I can only play it now for about 1- 2 hours and get sick of it. Indifferent [:|]

DonnyRoversFal, just out of curiousity, have you played, like EVERY game on the 360?  Or at least 3/4 of them?  Because a gamer score of over 80k is just insane.  I'm not gonna be like one of those jerkoffs who are all "get a life and stop playing games" because honestly, I play games quite often.  It's either the 360 or a solid game of poker with my friends if I have any say about it, but I still wonder how many hours of gaming and how many actual GAMES it took you to get that score!  Shoot me a message on Xbox live and lemme know if you can, cause I rarely check these forums.  Just checked this one to see if Dirt was worth playing.
Gaming since the atari, adults game too :D

Boy some people don't know history, it was in fact the brits that started this country. Without them where would we be? So yes they count.

That is so STUPID!!!  That's like saying if it weren't for the Mexicans we would never remember the Alamo.

Hmm... Play Championship mode, maybe? Confused [8-)]

When you are on the main menu, go one selection to the right of career and that is Championship mode... And yes, you can get the achievements by doing the short versions...

I think people that play games alot have more of a life than somebody who complains on the internet about other complete strangers gaming habits.

IMO not how can you actually have a life when you are constantly sitting behind your Xbox360 with nothing better to do. I have friends that are into gaming too but they can't rack up points that quickly because they actually have other things to do besides gaming, take an example for working, i work, i don't have the time to relax 6 hours straight in my chair, i have a gf that visits me regularly, i have apointments with other people to dine out in restaurants or to simply drive somewhere and have fun. So how in the world can you actually lead a wealthy social life + the ability to sit down for 6 hours straight or longer.

I know i could have done that as a child during the summer holidays but those days are over. So when it actually comes to leading a personal life i must say that there is less time for gaming and people spend more time with family and friends, well at least i do.

I consider these gamerpoints unimportant. I really couldn't care less if i have the full 1000. It's not like i am going to win the Euromillions or anything or else i'd be doing my best to get the 1000/1000.

I don't know how some of you combine that many hours of gameplay plus everything else you do in your life but consider this possible, your young, just a teenager and it's summer, yes you have all the time in the world to game.

Consider this impossible unless you're a bum. You game all day long and combine it with working at least 8 hours daily = impossible or it would lead to stress and depression and your health will be affected.

I am actually not complainin, i am just wondering how in the world some of you achieve all these things in 1 or 2 days i mean seriously... It takes about 6-7 hours to complete the carreer mode with the other modes not included. So if what everybody says it's true then you're basically gaming 6-8 hours daily? I must say that would be well sorta inhumane. But that's just my opinion.

I think your perception of people going for gamerscore having no life is ridiculous. Take me for example, i have a 86,000 + gamerscore, yet i have a well paid full time job, a girlfriend of over a year, follow my local football team (Doncaster Rovers) for home and away matches and also socialise with friends. I do all that but still manage to have fun by playing games? I don't play for 6-7 hours daily as i don't have time, but whenever i have nothing to do then i'll play on the xbox. I'm 22 and don't feel you should assuming people don't have lives because they get 1000 in a few days.

I agree. I happen to know of one friend that works at home and uses a 30 minute game break (or more) every couple hours to calm himself down when he gets stressed on whatever he's working on. I also happen to know of a local company that has multiple 360s in the employee break room. A few guys i know that work there happen to bring their memory card with their Gamertag to work and get some time playing in. When you work a 12 hour shift at night, you find something to do. One guy has JUST under 10,000 points and he doesnt even OWN a 360 at home.

Your assumption that everyone who plays alot of games has no life is based on ignorance. When you have a hobby that you enjoy, you find ways and time to enjoy them. Playing games for me now is no different than playing basketball when i was younger. You meet with friends, play some games, and go about your life afterward.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
