It didn't freeze for me either, though the message stayed on screen for a good 45 seconds or so.
If I remember rightly, the PS2 and PC versions closed the message as soon as you hit the action button, but the 360 release just sits there for ages...

Hmmm... it seemed to me like I waited forever before I decided to restart the game though. And there's no action button to press... even though I tried all of them.

So either it would never go past that message or I was not patient enough.

You weren't patient enough. Just sit there for a full minute or so, and then do what the screen tells you (as I reacll, it's hold down your targeting button and press the b button to dodge away from the bear) that should unfreeze the screen.

I've just experienced an incredibly annoying bug...

Having finished playing the Temple of Khamoon, I saved at the first checkpoint and quit the game.

A few hours later, I loaded up TR:A and went to "Resume game". It started me off at Croft Manor, which I thought was very odd... so I just loaded my previous save game instead. I played a few minutes of the Obelisk of Khamoon and picked up a small medikit, and got the "You have found..." pop-up window - which obviously shouldn't have happened, as I already had 30 of them in my inventory.

I saved and quit out to the main menu, and found that all of my rewards had vanished. Looking at the "load game" screen, I saw my recent save had 0% completion next to it.

The game has somehow decided to wipe out all my rewards and progress, despite almost 5 hours' play time and my having picked up every artifact and relic up until that point. My save game is now useless, as even if I finish the Egypt chapter it will have forgotten the level's worth of hidden items and therefore won't give me the Egyptian Tomb Raider or IRON Raider in Egypt achievements.
I now have to restart the entire game if I want to get those, as well as the "Finish game on Hard" achievements.

My advice to those of you who're going for the achievements is to make a brand-new save at the start of each level, so you don't have to do much back-tracking if the game decides to *** you over.

Same here :(

It went backl to showing 0% but I carried on anyway. Finshed the game and got no acheivements. None for finishing Croft Manor either. This game is seriously messed up :(

I covered this subject and how to fix it at this post here. . .. .

I'm betting that's what happened to you

Re: Glitches /Bugs
In Egypt alot of the creeps are unresponsive, i.e., they rush towards me but don't attack at all, so basically it's just like target practice. It doesn't exactly get in the way of the game, and I admit a couple of times it has worked to my advantage, but still thought it might be worth mentioning. Other than that, I personally haven't experienced any problems.

in greece, when the atlas let the world roll over lara, i fall, lara scream but she dont die, the screen was totally black but i can shoot xD

The centaurs some times freeze for a couple of minutes

Both of those happened to me too.  Apparently the Atlas pit isn't actually deep enough to kill you.  During one attempt I thought I had to hang off the edge of the pit and let the sphere roll "over" me... instead, I did a swan dive into the pit and survived to a total black screen.

I've also had the centaurs freeze in place for a minute or so... and during that time you still can't grab their shields even though your grapple will hook on.

Thankfully this was a budget game... because the quality feels like it.  The camera is absolutely horrible, the frame rates are pretty bad, and far too many times Lara's actions are inconsistant... particularly when it comes to that d**n grapple.

Also, I'm not sure if this is a problem with BOTH of my controllers... because I've had some other games share this problem... but trying to navigate the menus or item screens is almost as challenging as having Lara navigate a series of traps.

The menus seem super sensitive to up/down motions on the sticks or D-Pad.  So trying to cycle left and right through the item menus usually results in me constantly switching between the items and weapons screens.  It's like the menu has no tolerance for not moving perfectly horizontal.

Oh..my... god. I was going to write the exact same thing.. already thought i was the only one who experienced that sort of bugs. The atlas thing happened 2 times to me.. that was a real pain in the *ss. But i can add one bug though: In greece (francis folly to be more specific) at thor's room, where you got to move the 3 statues on their spot.. i did that like 100 times before, but the hammer wasn't falling down after statue no.3.. somehow the game decided to get stuck there. Happened while i tried the time trail challenge once again...
The Dreamcast never failed us, we failed the Dreamcast.

Player Comment: when i fall in dark pits and die the game restarts with no picture... hmmm silly game

I have the same problem. Can't move past this part of the game...I always go to the pitch black screen when Laura dies from falling into the pit or getting ran over by the globe. What a crock. Anyone know of a fix? I've played this level at least 10 times and the same thing happens every time on Hard mode.
If you like golf (LINKS 2004) is a must have game. A major steal for the replayability. Best money I ever spent on a game.
