I'm glad this thread was already here, cause as soon as I read the news, I came to these forums for the first time.

Microsoft, I will buy Goldeneye for XBLA.  I know several people who would buy 360s just for a chance to play Goldeneye with their old friends again, not hindered by the distance that now between them.  Work this out with Nintendo in whatever way is needed, for the sake of your consumers.  Thank you.

I 100% agree; Goldeneye would be one of the number one played games on live...That is fact, it would be an inexpensive multiplayer game that, whether you're a Halo fan, COD4 fan, Team Fortress fan, Lost Planet fan, or a Gears fan all will have this game as one community at an affordable price. This game WILL shut down your servers.

It will cause people who don't feel like jumping back in to there gold membership because of being unfamiliar with the modern games, will jump right into what is common knowledge to them. A few games I consider my generations Pac-Man. One is Streetfighter 2, the other is Goldeneye. Make it happen, you could advertise it with TV commercials and sell systems.

 

Is there anyway we can send emails to microsoft concerning this? Letting them know also through emails might help?

signed...if microsoft did have to pay for Goldeneye, they'd probably make the purchase money back three fold from all of the loyal gamers ready to play the FPS that redefined the genre with better graphics, sounds, and all the goodies :p

Get this game out now! So toss it on Wii's online service as well if Nintendo is nagging about it, who gives a sh*t? A horde of people will buy this on XBLA so its not like MS will lose any money even if you could buy it on the wii (people who have both systems would probably also get it for the 360 because of LIVE).

Win/win. Everybody is happy.

I know at least 2 people who would by 360s and a Gold Membership just to play this game online with friends.  I'm sure most people know someon who wants to relive those intense GoldenEye sessions.  Please settle the dispute with Nintendo, even if you have to add a dollar to the purchase price.  PLEASE.

I heard its probably got to do with nintendo wanting a a continuous cut from revenue of the game. SO give it to them. Throw them a bone, 360 is destroying the wii. Plus so many people are going to buy this game on the arcade that both side will surely make lucrative profits. Not to mention with the two parties represented being nintendo and microsoft, this kind of gaming miracle should never be held bake by an issue of money on a game that costs only a few dollars to buy. I truly hope someone important from Microsoft reads this thread.  Goldeneye really needs to come to XBLA.  It would definitely become one of the best selling arcade games on the system, and the player base I'm sure would be huge.  In addition, it would make a lot of people very happy.

It would be awesome to be able to play Goldeneye online with people, and I think pretty much everyone who's ever played the game can agree with me.  Please, straighten out whatever the problem is and give us 007!

I'd love GoldenEye on XBLA. I think getting Perfect Dark would have had less legal problems. Though, I guess they wanted to leave that till later... After GoldenEye. Hopefully MS and Nintendo can come to a resolution.
