I have another solution for all you lovers of shmups and arcade games in general:
MAME32, the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.
It is a piece of free software that can play almost any older arcade game, including DoDonPachi (I know, I just played it) and many others (1944, Battle Garegga, Hotdog Storm, Gunnail, Gigawing, etc...). It is not region-locked, nor does it cost you 800MS points per game, and you can run it on almost any modern PC (within 5 years old) with no problems....
...and yes, it plays NeoGeo games also.
If Micro$oft wishes to deny games that (to me) aren't worth the purchase price of a full retail disc, due to their shortness of game time and difficulty level / cheapness of enemy attacks, then they will find out that us gamers will look elsewhere to get our gaming fix, and it won't include buying & using MS Points for XBLA!
And yes, didn't read this one until after I posted that last one..
MAME is great, particularly if you've got a modern PC. I sold all of my gaming collection, and all of my imported shooters--But I still play them on MAME, as well as those ones that never came to consoles, like EspRADE.
Oh, and thanks to MS and the 360, we have the best controller for PC old-school gaming, haha..
