It'd be a good idea but you'd have to play beside your computer to see the list and if you wanted to invite them to a game they'd have to be on your FL anyhow...  Sides I'd rather just be on your FL so you can join into the Shinanagins.  That one mountain top game we had running where a bunch of us forum noobs ended up together was teh hardcorez.

I want to see more forum noob teams!

Play next to your computer? I have two of those accounts that I belong too for FFoW and it works really well. All you have to do is hit the guide button and pull up your  FL, find the special group FL  and go to the friends of that FL. You can join anyones game on that list, even if they aren't on YOUR friends list. With the two special FL for FFoW I use, I usually have at least 20 or more people to join.

That's a good idea is the silver account running all the time so we can see you in the online status or do we have to scroll down into the inactive friends list?

Yeah, like DaiBoOk said, make the silver start with the letter A so it's always at the top of the offline list since it is never really online. Then post the silver gamertag and whoever wants in would send an invite to that silver GT. Once you're on the silver FL you can look at the silvers friends. You can join any of those friends from there. It's a pretty slick work around the 100 friend limit. Wink [;)]

To get back on topic though, I was playing on Roundabout last night and swear I was the only one on my 15 person team actually moving. I ended the round with a horrid k/d but I think I put up one heck of a fight. I probably switched kits and everything a dozen times trying to match what was coming after me.

I was fortunate enough to play today with '85 and Wandre today.

By about the third match our team was cleaning up within about 10 minutes, all because we made the effort to co-ordinate or squad. I was totally amazed at how effective just some simple communication and a good mix of loadouts and classes works.

I went with EMP, and once I got up to level three anyone stupid enough to find us in a tank was toast. EMP recket followed up by '85 calling in an airstrike on them.

Beautiful. Smile [:)]

Any of you like minded people want to play, please feel free to send me a FR.

The track from the Adidas ad is Beggin'. Though Madcon's is a great reworking the original by Timebox is better.

So there.

good times on mountain top today.  you and eightyfive worked well with Blaze and I.  good job with the drones too.  we should do it again sometime on gnaw, but hopefully without that crazy lag, lol.

Yeah we really tore up that Mountaintop.  It was RyansRangers that was doing the whole landmines on the legs thing. He was a good shot too.  I was hoping to find him and get him in on our little shindigs every so often.

SweatyWorm was the guy you were talking about earlier too =).  He was another good player.

Re: Fight at the flag
I had one of the worst experiences with a team who either didn't know what to do or just simply didn't give a rats on Tuesday night.

Map: Invasion

My brother and I were playing on WC because we enjoy the extra challenge of being the attackers. So, we form a squad and head out with a couple of other guys to the Frontline (the 2 demo objectives because they're quicker).

Within a few minutes, my brother and I have survived all opposition and captured the first 3 Objectives and are now in the process of defending. It suddenly dawns on me that we're alone - there's not another team member in site save for some random sniper camped on a tower (love those obvious high positions) where he can't actually see anyone from the Red Star team.

I do a quick check of the mini-map - everyone else is at the base, waiting for the helos to respawn. In between defending and re-capturing points I check again; Helo's are dropping out of the sky, team members are dying and instead of respawning on the Frontlines to push the Red Star back, they start back at the base and wait for their helo to respawn. Helos that for the most part don't have any offensive weapons and just aren't that good at taking out Anti-Air vehicles.

It's not so much a complaint because I still had fun, still came top of the match, still racked up a bunch of kills - it just left me wondering... WTF?!!

Yeah the day after I posted this I had the same experience.  I actually managed to grab one of the 2 capture points on the next frontline.  Checked the minimap and saw my entire team in our helo base taking the transport choppers with 1-2 people per vehical.  I actually saw someone take a transport and try to defende a CP with it.

Why do you even play the game if you're just in it to fly a chopper.  Go play MS flight sim or something.

I love seeing my own team camp something that does not matter in the game.... I have been known to take a jeep or tank and just park it in front of them to block their view of the map that no-one is playing on...

I saw someone camping Woodbine from our team when we had the enemy down to their last frontline.  I ran up and meleed him in the face until he moved and I chased him all the way to Old Selneik (or whatever it's called).

Re: Fight at the flag
It really seems difficult for some people to comprehend the yellow objectives.  Then it gets even tougher when you have to hold 'X' instead of just be in the vicinity to take on.  There are color codes too on both sides of the frontline.

Then the objectives move and you're notified by the voice on the screen but yet, no change in strategy.

It is annoying those that are in only to camp the helos only to have like a 2:9 K:D ratio and really bring your team down.

I won't even get started on the chat.  I just form a squad and let people join if they want.  If they don't have mics or are screaming prepubescently about the sniper not working they get kicked.  I will apply to squads but they usually don't speak, someone's getting headset feedback, etc.

you want to talk about blocked views?  on 50 player village people keep getting their butts in my line of fire, blocking my shots and obstructing my view.  i can't stand that, lol.

Re: Fight at the flag
Yeah I was in one of those 3 on 3 matches on the small map - Village I think.  Of course I got one sniper and another run and gunner on my team.  One joined my squad and the other really didn't do much of anything but die.

I'm out there just racking up the points taking objectives.  Probably had like a 30:5 K:D score.  Just doing pretty well, wanting to get it over with and get into a bigger game.  My little soldier is just sweating running  back and forth.  I switched over to air support on one respawn as I figured I don't want to spend the whole hour going back and forth.

So I'd take one, air strike another, then take it and finally started making some headway.  I'm on the middle street where there are 3 objectives and take the one on the end.  I had just gotten the WC gunship so I figured I would rain on the other targets before I tried to take them single handedly, with no cover, yet again.

Dude just runs out like 10 feet in front of me and the gun ship targeting switched to him - I guess was faster than I could pull off of the trigger and we both get smoked.

Re: Fight at the flag

sorry have been at work it's about the only time I post.

ATF is filling up nicely. I have been playing under the tag since I'm ban on my main.(breaking CoC in bios)

we had two squads on the same team in ranked for about 10 games. Wow! what a difference they never knew what hit them. most games the other team was pushed back to their spawn in 5 mins and we had the moral delima of to spawn kill or just put them out of their misery.

I found out joining a games with you guys(southern,ractus,brand1sh&wandre) on the other side had me inventing new cuss words with every spawn. Indifferent [:|]

I tried to hit up everyone a play few games only managed to talk to coke man. he was real cool we talked about 20 mins while he suffered at RB62 Stick out tongue [:P]

now we need some devs to join up. I need that headshot a dev acheevo Wink [;)]

We should do some sort of ATF game. Maybe everyone gets on at the same time and just joins whatever server ATF does (probably one of those 5/50 village servers).
