Before I put vegas 2 in I put vegas 1 in and reset my rank then deleted my game save. Still as sooon as I put Vegas2 in it skips private first class and no achievement.

This game recognizes your gamertag not your game save data. I hope Xbox can contact ubisoft to fix this problem.. Since Xbox requires all game developers to have all achievements atainable. This achievement is clearly not so a fix is needed.

Ohh yeah if you think its going to unlock after reach Officer rank ... guess what it doesn't. I just became an officer and it only unlocked Officer achievement. Please xbox make udbisoft fix this isssue.

Achievements =  happy gamers 

He's not wrong, deleting the saved games didn't work, it looks at your Gamer profile.  We'll have to wait for the patch I guess.

I love how rumors get started.

Although its happened in almost every game I've played online. If you get it the first day and immediately jump online... chances are something messes up in the first few weeks. Someone discovers a glitch others missed, exploits it and then everyone gets reset and the glitch is gone. Its just something I've grown used to playing x box live. Its true pretty much in life though... Never buy the first year of a new body style of vehicle. They always have 2 - 5x more recalls than the following year. Unless you're ok with being the "first one on the block" to get something, and having it break or have more issues before all the bugs are out.

Forza 2 was/is a great example. There was a glitch with certain cars, using them in manual, even if you didn't know what the glitch was, if you used a manual in an online race, every one of your leaderboard times were removed, and your rank was reset. Really doesn't matter in the long run, the game was/is great and, to me is timeless. It also didn't have much more for gameplay than Forza 1, yet it has a huge following of people that still play it to the day.

Glitches happen. Glitches get sorted. Not really a big deal. The game is amazing.

Also can anyone else remember where an actual achievement was attained simply by putting in a game? You actually get gamerpoints, (dork score) from just playing a previous version of the game... and then buying the newer version... interesting idea that I don't think I've seen used. Almost like paying for gamerpoints.. (dork score)

I also say dork score with the greatest of intentions.

Edit- although I know this isn't a glitch people are "exploiting" its still a "glitch" that we all know about.

I agree they should fix this, but come on its 1 achievement for christ sake. 5 points or something it is, doesn't even matter. Achievements have spoiled all of you, including me.

well my friend got the achievment and i did not but we both played Vegas 1

yea my friend was lik in his 6 rank or w/e and he turned his xbox off only for a hour when he turns i bak on his rank was reset and he got da achievement and lik he still had his old stuff or w/e but he cant change or he would lose them confusin @_@ either way i still want those 10 points lmao =P

Just got word back from Ubisoft. They first of all told me about respawn points on ranked matches (Nope, me neither) and when I repeated the question they told me it was a Microsoft problem and to contact them.

Gotta love apathy don't you...

Yea i cant get it either. Im lovin the new r6v2 tho...I need to get internet at my new house so i can hop on live.

Can you get the PFC achievement offline? I never played the first Rainbow online but I still got the Elite info box saying something about 2500 XP points. When I started the story mode my XP was zero and I think I was Private Second Class. Now I'm pretty far in the ranks (nearly 100 000 XP from story mode, A.C.E.S. and T-hunt) but no achievement.

So are the rank achievements only for multiplayer like in the first Rainbow 6: Las Vegas?

I was thinking of moving both my R6V & R6V2 game profiles to a memory card and then starting again without the memory card in, to see if I get it.  Let us know if your method works.

You can't reset your rank (mabey when you get to elite but idk) and I didn't get mine either...alot of my achievements have been messing up lately...is anyone having trouble with the "starting a riot" achievement in Army of Two? It wont give it to me...I HATE ACHIEVEMENTS THAT DONT WORK!!

yeah its like a bug in the achievement system, which is pretty stupid bcoz the game should be rewarding us for playing the first game instead it makes us loose points, the only thing i can suggest is w8 for the problem to get solved by a patch in the game or reset ur rank, but this might not be the safest option.

u can reset ur rank but not as easily as on r6v 1

I tried the method someone else mentioned of using a second player split screen and them getting to the rank, getting them the achievement and you were able to get the achievement as well. That is not true. That trick does not work. Even though it only took 5 minutes to try out, at least I know it doesn't work.

i heard if you had the first ranibow you are higher than a private first class so you can not nlock the achievment... thats my friends told me but i did not get the first one so i do not have that problem

Really when its all said and done, I don't really go for the 1000 club or whatever on any of my games, so these points are really a big deal. But I'm wondering why this type of achievement didn't work. I still haven't heard of any other xbox 360 video game that gave actual gamer points or an achievement for having an old save of an older title or any other game save.

agreed, i think a patch will only unlock the achievement for those who are just starting the game after the patch. so the only way to really get the achievement is to use the work around xeno keeps posting.

They will simply change the achievement trigger to

i've been wrong before and i'm not sure how Ubisoft will deal with this issue (as far as the PFC gose), but i wouldn't expect an achievement to unlock with the patch. just an opinion.

did they ever patch the Rainbow Six Legand and/or Terrorest hunt achievements from the first one?
