Two Worlds...

Dont tell me, its another poor game with a basic story that has loads of bugs, skipping frame rate issues, look like an old xbox title, crashes, hangs and locks up your 360 and all from a stonking 20 gamerpoints??

You most defo have a duff 360 there Emerald Swords. Go phone Microsoft and get them to fix it!!! Good luck. Smile [:)]

f40, you just proved my point.

You have horrible taste in RPG's. Dark Messiah is one thing, but you like two worlds and think its a good game without any bug, glitches or issues? The only reason Two worlds was even amusing was because of the cheats on it..which made the game fun through my playthrough..then realised how wonderful the 'it was just a dream' story was and never touched it again.

that's why I said dark messiah is one thing. it's a action game but still considered a RPG for its little RPGish elements.

Sadly thats not true. Action/FPS, its not considered a RPG on any game site or magazine. Its like calling Fallout 3 a FPS just because it has guns, its not.... its a RPG. DMMM is the other way around.... a FPS with swords. If you would have played Arx Fatalis you would have really loved this game.
Dont get me wrong its has it faults (like all games) For example the multiplayer needs a minimum of 8 people to start a match, which is just plain stupid.

can't find it but the rules of what makes a game a RPG works for this. you get a choice at the beggining about your class. it's stupid but it makes it a RPG altho it's not considered one. and FPS is first person shooter..this game is a action game..a bit adventure but nothing more.

Well I cant speak for everyone else but im going to go ahead and agree with every single gaming site and mag out there.....instead of you.

I actually played the game all the way thru, so i know for a fact it isnt a RPG. Also choosing class has nothing to do with a RPG, on Call of Duty 3 you can choose your class during multiplayer games, and its still a good ol FPS.

Emerald Swords, my taste of games has nothing to do with Dark Messiah. So... because I knew you were going to be a t1t about it I beat you too it.

If what you are saying is true then Doom3 is an RPG. Stackable weapons! PDA to keep track of the story and info needed for combination locks, audio tapes ect.... You collect ammo.

Far Cry 2 is an RPG because you can pick a number of people who to play as! lol. End of the day Dark Messiah is a game you have no understanding of. If anything its up there with the likes of Exhumed for the Sega Saturn. A game that was unique in a speical way that those who took the beautiful joruney only understand. As for you, you need to move on as Dark Messiah has not been played by you in 7 months. Kinda sad you here still banging on about it lol.

Arx was  "cult favorite" type of game. It never really caught on with the console crowd. Maybe because it was HARD. The game really made you think and gave nothing away freely.
It was a great game though. It took place entirely underground in a subterranean city called Arx.

Another Arx Fatalis fan here! I just found a mint-condition, used copy of DM at a video rental store. I rented the game when it originally came out and got about 3/4 of the way through. I decided to restart the game after buying it. Playing as a Archer this time. Brings back memories of the old Thief games. I forgot about the DLC for this one. Worth buying for two more classes and power weapons?

S'up bro .. good to see more of us Arx fans popping up.

The DLC for DMMM is for multiplayer only, (I think) So its useless to me, as I dont like the games MP at all.
If Im wrong, someone please correct me, as I would get the DLC for single player action

Extend your quest on Dark Messiah of Might and Magic® - Elements with new maps, classes and weapons from Xbox Live® Marketplace. Use these new weapons to crush your opponents. According to your character’s type, either Undead or Human, you can use exclusive powerful weapons such as bows, swords, or staffs. >Also included, two new classes for the single player mode: Paladin He will subsequently use his powerful Charm and Shrinking spells to gain the upper hand. Warlock The Warlock will seek to weaken his enemies from a distance with his spells before moving in for the kill using his sword.<

Hmmm. Well the MP is 100% dead now anyways. The only people you will see playing is boosters.

I cant find anything on the web about the new classes, weapons, etc.

Are they even worth downloading? I doubt they change the game much.
The games linear ... not that Im complaining, I love the game

Re: Why did this game get a 3.2 /10?
I picked this game up for 10 bucks at circuit city and I think it's great so far.  It's surprisingly deep in gameplay (forging weapons, using the arrow & and rope combo).  I think that the feeling is that if it has a medieval theme to it, that it must be an RPG, which this game is clearly not.  At least not a true RPG.

As far as glitches, yeah there were a couple, but nothing that I wasn't able to work through.  The dialogue is good, if not a little cheesy (but come on, what medieval game doesn't have cheesy dialogue?)

Overall, this game is definitely not the best I've ever played, but certainly better than a 3.2 out of 10.

A word of advice ... save often. There are alot of funny glitches in the game. And I agree, the game is at least a 7 of 10 (when ignoring the bugs)

Yeah, I realized that around Chapter 2 going into 3 (when you had to chase the ghoul across the rooftops).  My last checkpoint, strangely enough, was a second before he got too far out of range, so every time the game would reload, I'd fail right away.  I tried to reload my last saved game, which I mistakenly thought was the last automatic checkpoint, and I had to play all of the last act of Chapter 2 again.  :/  Oh well.  Still pretty fun to play.

Yes it has many bugs but it also has a great atmosphere.
It feels a bit like Thief: The Dark Project.
This game is quite descent. It could have been longer and there should have been a few more outdoor/nature levels, like the tutourial. 7/10

I first rented the game and got through Chapter 6 with the Warrior before returning it. I recently purchased it used and restarted my play through as a Archer. It definitely feels like Thief: The Dark Project! The Rope Bow adds a whole other dimension to the game. I just finished the game last night. Much longer than I though it would be. I'd give it a 8/10 based on Fun Factor. Definitely worth the $14 I paid for it.

*sarcasm* I HATE this game because you dont play as a Space Marine on a epic quest to save Earth from a weird reptile like alien species and monkey people... But realy Id give this game a 5/10 because the devs had the right idea they just didnt patch the glitches and develop the story that much.

it was unfun.and even cheviowhores will find going after the 1000/1000 a major pain.
sometimes  some fun can be had with a bad game.iin this case, with so many better rpg's out there why would you bother with this game?

i wouldnt compare oblivion to this game they were trying something else i guess.oblivion IS a fps/rpg this game is sorta like a action adventure/rpg .a cross of thief with might and magic lore.and ends up being a pile of turd in the process.

is it worth 10$?ya i guess, but dont expect to stay around or go back for more after you finish it.

as for why it got a 3.2...well the graphics have some jaggies, guys get stuck in walls etc.
the story is short and uninteresting.there are game ending/crashing glitches.the ai sometimes cheats.weapons are boring to look at,and gearlooting isnt fun.
