Yea when you make a CPU that intel wont touch till 2015, only hampers development, costs more money to produce games, and have hardware that fights with itself I say it sucks.  Blu ray is too slow to read the games so you have to do an install.  The OS uses 64 more megs of ram then the Xbox so its ALWAYS short on memory which is prob the most important thing.  Memory pools are split leaving less memory for the GPU, ect, ect.... Rule one is make a console that is easy to develop for, then speed.  Sony looked at each part as a single unit and shoved it all in to place not caring if they worked well togeather or at what cost development time would be impacted.

This demo better be God-like now or I'm not buying anything after this bull, I'll stick to GTA4 and COD4 up until Silent Hill 5 and GOW2. For everyone blaming this on MS - where is the proof that Team Ninjerks did not make this decision?

Itagaki is ashamed of how it turned out and wants everyone to buy it based on hype rather than letting them have the playable demo before the game is launched.

The TV commercials are out, and you can watch the video of the senior programmer playing it at CES.

 

But Itagaki is depending on the stupidity of Americans to rush out and buy the game first based strictly on that hype.

 

I guarantee the playable demo will not be up on 6/6/08.

Why would Itagaki be ashamed of this game?! I have the demo and it just makes me want to buy it more! The game is awesome! And this isnt the only game to come out without a demo...those games relied on its hype, *** if I got a chance to play GTA4 before it came out I WOULD NOT have bought it. Now THAT game relied on hype.

its all about getting more money. the xbox sells everywhere really well but mainly japan. so they need to promote the console over there.

the game is going to be awesome, he made it for us (the hardcore)

You're right on that, they do need to promote it in Japan more than they do here in America, but that is no excuse what so ever not to release one over here for us. It's not like the Japanese will go " AH, look at that we have a demo and no one else in the world does, that means we should go buy the game". All this ploy does is **** off all the people eagrly waiting for this game, and just want to play a demo! Is that so much to ask? Just to upload a few megabite piece of programming so we can all just get a taste? Apperently it is for microsoft.

the dmc4 demo for instance says at the start this is a demo and may have bugs and doesnt represent the proper game.

 

also alot of the time the demo kills the hype or alot of the fun i would have then if i played it at retail

I can assure you that the NG2 demo is bug-free. In fact its one of the best demos I've ever played.

I agree. I want to buy this cause I have a great love of the last one. Ng1 was the best game of last gen(xbox,ps2, DC) for me, and Ng2 is the reason I bought a 360 over ps3. Hear that microsoft, not Halo, not gears but NINJA fuc#*$@ GAIDEN. The reviews havent been good so they need to release the demo to the fans, not these newb reviewers who think the UT is something new to the series. By not releasing a demo they are DESTROYING the sales cause some crappy reviews. I still think the sales will be great, but not what they woul have been with a demo for the rest of the world. Give us the demo to talk it up, show people, and put the crapy reviews to shame. From what I hear its a great demo, but no, lets release it where there are barley any fans and Ignore the other 1-2 million who bought the original. Well yeah thats just it, releasing a demo only in Japan is moronic. Yes japan needs the demo but so does the rest of the world. Im buying it already, but I would love to try it first. After these newb reviewers gave it bad scores any one who is less a fan than me/others here, probaly wont go out and buy it. I want this game to do awsome but microsoft isnt giving the demo to the actuall 95% of 360 install base to make their own judgements. Im just pissed cause microsoft has been putting up all kinds of *** videos(ask a ninja, microsoft do you think were retarded or something) and after saying months ago "DEMO in MAY" they fail as bad as SONY on delievering. If it was any other game I wouldent give a crap, but I wanna play it, and I know that this is a game that would benifit greatly from having a demo. Yeah I read it, and it confirms my belief that microsoft FAILED MISERABLY with the NG 2 launch. Wait till the game comes out and play the first level or the demo, and tell me that releasing the demo wouldent have led to better sales.

japan is all about sony and nintendo. microsoft is depriving the rest of the world , who by the way helped them acheive their 10 million sold acheivement. i am not saying i will not buy the game, but i just not waste my time and hd space on the demo. but i know fans are disappointed and microsoft has messed up big time and they will lose, not alot but substantially.

   I think that releasing the demo in Japan is a pretty good idea. The Game is causing such a big hype here. NG2 alone here in Japan is expected to increase Xbox 360 sales just like the releases of GTA4 and Halo3 were reason enough for people to buy Xbox 360's and PS3's

   Oh, and guys/ladies. Its not really up to Microsoft to decide when and where to release the demo. It's mostly depends on the developers. Yeah sometimes developers might make mediocre descissions in your opinion, but they are only trying to do what they think is best. Im pretty sure that Itagaki may be trying to help boost the sales of the Xbox360 in Japan. And one more thing, This is a Japanese made game. So the demo is a domestic product of Japan.

   Oh and if u wanna rub something in my face, u can. I wasn't rubbing anythng in your face, I was talking about that other dude who was showing off he had the demo.  and my walmart is so crappy and I have no GAMESTOP. I've been asking walmart if they will have NG2 on the 3rd and they don't know, typical answer. And I stopped by this store called GameCrazy and the people working are so sooooooooo useles, I went in there and asked if they will have NG2 on the 3rd also and hes response was maybe, didn't even look at me and what about the strategy guide? he said yea maybe what a bunch of idiots you should know u work there. I asked for the day off but if I can't get my hands on Gaiden on Tuesday I will be really pissed off and go to work instead.

Nothing makes me mad more this sh!t. First they say "In the middle of May" and then this happen. What is the use of a demo after the game is released?
