Do they play some twisted *** poker game to decide who makes the next Call of Duty game.

Next year I hope they play Russian roulette, and Treyarch catches the bullet.

Sounds really promising, thanks for all the info CHEFS.  My only concern is that it will wind up feeling TOO much like COD4, without enough new innovations to set it apart.  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not really sure I want Juggernaut and Martyrdom all over again. . create something new for God's sake.  I know COD4 is hugely successful, but I hope this doesn't go to their head and make them think they have to mirror everything except the time period.  I had A LOT of fun with COD2, so if this game can create maps as fun as Toujane, Matmata, and Vossenack, I'm definitely inCool [H]  I hope they release a beta in a few months so I can see for myself how it plays.

What is wrong with juggernaut?

I understand people's hatred for Martyrdom, and I believe it said they will have a "counter-perk" for this...so that can be avoided as well if people really have a problem running away.

Either way, I'm actually looking forward to playing some WWII again.  I almost bought a used copy of COD2 yesterday (I resold mine) but I doubt anyone still plays it.

While I find juggernaut a little annoying at times, I never said anything was wrong with it, I'd just rather they find some new inventive perks instead of rehashing all the old ones.  As for COD2, it doesn't have a huge community anymore, but it's still not hard at all to jump right into a game online.

Quote: "To refrain from spoiling any perks, I won’t divulge into the ones we saw"  Could you send me a PM about the perks you saw? That would be so awesome! Thanks .. Spoilers dont bother me.

Quote: "He got back on land and prepared us for a physics demo using a trap with a tree log tied to two trees. Down below there were helpless AI standing about, and as he shot the trap off, the log swung down taking out the AI who became attached to the log for a few seconds from the impact, and as the log slowed momentum to swing back, the bodies let go and went flying (ragdoll)."  Do you think that will be a perk? Like the ability to set 2 traps like you can set 2 claymores in COD4?  Thank You

The log thing was basically in a development type playground... not sure if it will make it to the game, but who knows.

Your post mirrors my concern that I've put in a couple other threads.  I totally agree with you.  From my reading of all the articles WaW sounds like COD4 in a WWII setting; whereas, COD3 felt largely different from COD2 and innovative.

I mentioned in my long-winded post in the other thread that Activision is smart for riding the COD4 cash cow and using a lot of its design elements, but I just hope the game doesn't feel too much like COD4, and that it feels more like COD3, with the innovation I believe Treyarch is capable of.
