Haha, Jimbo, just read what PeeKnuckle wrote. It pretty much tackles your irony =P. Moreover, I actually am a long-time PC gamer. My roots are well established there. I honestly didn't own an Xbox 360 until a few months ago, and my gamertag was actually established on a trial Live account back on the Xbox. So it's no wonder I'm playing a new game like BF:BC more than CoD3 - I'm a gamer, what can I say =D. It shouldn't be indicative of my gaming habits; I got plenty of play time in on friends' accounts back when CoD3 was fresh and new.

Thanks everyone for understanding. Personally, I love BIA, and am looking forward to HH. I'd be lying to say I'm looking forward to it more than CoD:WW, but let's be realistic here; I'm probably a bit biased =). I wouldn't want to say which one is "better", because I think they both live in two different worlds within the gaming universe, to which each serves their own respective purposes extremely well. That's why I'll be playing both!

Regards,
-JD

Agreed, JD. To say BIA and COD are alike, aside from them being both in WWII, is comparing two different styles of games.

Any chance you might wanna post this apology at www.gearboxsoftware.com?  Ya know, cause if I pee someone off, I don't apologize to their brother - I apologize to the person I pissed off.  Just sayin'.

I think you really ought to man it up over there, not weasel it down right here.

He posted apologies on multiple forums, I guarantee word has reached Gearbox employees. Maybe he just doesn't want to sign up for an account on the competitors forum.

Over the weekend, we learned that some disparaging comments were made by an Activision rep at a recent Call of Duty: World at War press event. We want to let everyone know that we found those remarks offensive, and they do not in any way represent the feelings of any developer at this studio or at Activision. This thread has become some PC BS. Yeah I said it. To Mr. Noah Heller, you sir are a snake in the grass. I hope that your remarks will tarnish your career for the rest of your days.

And if you decide to man up just forget about those last remarks!

Because he hasn't apologize to the right people.  I'm not sure how much more clear on this I can possibly be.  As for telling the guy who made the comments to apologize, uh, I have in other posts.  But it's also not as if Noah Heller is posting here, now is it?

My point is this: It's taking the weasel way out to just post a generic apology here and a couple of other forums.  Seriously, how difficult would it be to register at Gearbox and post the apology there?  Answer: not very.

Methinks that if JD, Community Manager for Treyarch, were serious about apologizing, he'd do it at Gearbox.  But since that hasn't happened, the obvious conclusion is that he's taking his cue from our leading politicians and trying to smother us with PC BS.

This soothes the pain. I know that you can apologise on behalf of the studio but this DOES show difference in opinion of developers at Treyarch Studios.

Maybe if you gave us a public beta, I'd accept your apology (just maybe). Stick out tongue [:P]

Well this is the PC BS I was referring to. You see Death here IS going out on a limb and assuming he knows how betided and most sensible people on these "wild wild west" of forums we have here feel. Death you are making assumptions and all that you are saying sounds good in a post but the simple facts are that you cannot prove anything of which you have mentioned. Which brings me to the finite point a few of us have been trying to make, Heller should apologize for his over the top remarks and it should be posted on ALL RELAVENT gaming sites. So stop trying to smooth over this issue. You have 2 choices, one of which is your current stance(as a derail-er) or strive for a sense of justice and vindication. We have accepted JD's statement but this goes beyond the average trash talking. All men should be accountable for their own words and actions. This means you Heller!!!!!!

Justice and vindication...these are words that apply to victims. I was under the impression that both development teams kicked ***. I suppose if one was trully better than the other you would be atleast headed in the right direction, but still a bit over the top. Gearbox isn't asking for justice or vindication, what gives your or anyone else the right to ask for something not owed to you? Gearbox will earn their justice and vindication when they release more excellent games. That's when they will sit back and laugh at any comments directed towards them.

You can always send them a message and ask if they want you to stay the course. http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/index.php?p=contact

Well, this is a forum and generally speaking, forums are where people like to go and post their opinions.  For you to sit behind your monitor and post what you did (grammatical errors and all), IMHO, is as, if not more, mind-blowing.

I'm just asking for some honesty and sincerity - to me, this posting would be worth much, much more if it were posted on the correct site.  Do you disagree?

Its amazing how some of you people get....its like the guy punched your mom in the face and farted on your dead granny.  GET OVER IT....The guys at Gearbox probably laughed it off the first time they saw the video, knowing that they're coming out with a quality product.  Overall, its competition.....trash talking will come into play.....I'm sure all of you have blasted off at the mouth, safely behind X-BOX live mics during a COD4 or HALO 3 session.....Come on people time to move on.
