I would say you are a *** of a host, both in UNO and Gears of War (not to mention dinner parties), and you only play either game as host for the advantage.  I quit playing UNO because I kept losing due to host advantage.  That's also when I only ever host my own dinner parties.  I'm not going to someone else's house to lose due to lag.

That's funny, because I honestly wouldn't care either way.  The fact that you are taking such a casual (or any) game so seriously is hilarious.  I was joking around.  Next time, try not to be such a jerk when talking to someone you've never met before and will most likely never see again.  I haven't even played UNO in over a year, mainly because too many people take it seriously.  It's a game.  You're playing to have fun.  Chill out.
Not trolling or anything, just trying to get my facts straight. You won't play Uno, because some people take it too seriously, but you'll play COD4 and Gears 2?

In a game like UNO, I don't expect trash talking.  It's a casual atmosphere, first and foremost.
In a game like Gears of War (2), I fully expect trash talking.  It's more tolerable in a game where I fully know it will happen and am used to it.  Gears of War is the breeding ground of trashtalkers- even more so than Halo or Call of Duty.
I also don't play UNO because I'd rather play it in real life... I got tired of it online and just preferred to play other games.  I just come by here ever once in awhile and listen to others' hilarious stories.

Doe that answer you question?

Don't you see their bodies burning, desolate and full of yearning, dying of anticipation, choking from intoxication?

Yeah, I expect it from shooters. Not so much from a card game. I thought card/board games were more family oriented.

No, you seem to be confusing XBLA board games with the Wii.  Any game on Xbox 360 is 110% competitive and if trash talking separates the 1337 from the children all the better.  Go play Mario Painting Experience if you want a family game.  This is the NXE, same as the OXE, get tough or get out.
I just hope they program tea bagging into the next version of UNO.  Get bagged.
I like it when it's fun.

LOL. You are the reason me and my girlfriend mute everyone on Halo 3. I think most folks that talk trash in games, especially one like UNO, are making up for their short commings in real life... or they're just loud mouth, bratty little kids. Which are you? "Get bagged"... I think you've already answered my question.

I put "people that find it hilarious", "bratty little kids", and "morons" all in the same category. I'm down with the competitive side of gaming. Just not the jerk that want's to do the "humpy dance" on me every time I get killed in Halo. Even worse, some little punk swearing at me when I'm trying to chill out and play a card game.

I just don't get the hyper intense trash talking that comes with these games.  In a sports game, people don't go crazy after winning, no matter what the score (usually..).

Why are people on these video games so intent on trash talking?  I gave that up so long ago, and I'm only 16.  I see full-grown adults bickering pointlessly online or yelling at each other.  Chill out and have fun.  That's what you're online to do, right?

You sound more mature than most adults I know. The trash talking really does suck all the fun out of playing, in my opinion.

It's true.  They have MANY SERIOUS advantages.
Better cards, their draw 4 cards do WAY more damage, faster response when calling/challenging UNO, etc etc etc.

I so totally agree! How am I supposed to win a competitive children's card game when there's hosts abusing their powers?! It's totally outrageous!

There's trash talking in every game. It's unavoidable. Sadly, there is no such thing as "Casual Gaming" on XBL. Some people take UNO as seriously as their Gears or CoD.
