I think the game is an 8. Fantastic story. I wish there was more combat. I loved the quests on Saria and Kithra. Mycanae was good, but the game starts rather slow with lots of back and forth talking to one dude and then talking to another. I think the comments regarding how its not full RPG and not fully action/adventure are pretty spot on. But the story is GREAT!

I'm hovering between 7 or 8 at the moment (having done the opening portion of the game, and Mycenae). 

I'm generally more into sandbox RPGs like Oblivion, Fallout III, or Gothic, or CRPGs like Mass Effect, Knight of the Old Republic, and so on.  As such, an action-RPG like this isn't something I'd normally enjoy, but there enough non-combat stuff that it is keeping my interest.  Moreover, I'm finding the combat to actually be quite enjoyable in and of itself as well.

This is a thread where people who have actually played the game are providing informed feedback for those who haven't.

It doesn't mean you can't participate.  It just means people know you're talking about a game you haven't played which is pretty much talking out your backside.

Some peeps argue over everything anyway back on topic.

I Give it an 9.5/10

10/10 for story. Super story got me sucked in from the word go. It built the whole thing up ready for it to kick off near the end. Which i thought it did

9/10 Graphics. Could of done with a little more touching up. But they were still of a very good level. But i have seen a lot lot worse. Cutscenes were brilliant. Some dam right brutal bits like the arrow to the throat at the start. But my favorite was when you chop off the centaur's head excellent.

9/10 Gameplay. I loved the hack and slash style of the game. But if you wanted you could be more thoughtful about your attacks. Also some of the moves were brutal. Off with the head with the sheild nice touch. But you got to love the spear through the chest then throwing em over your head. But a let down in my eyes was not enough fighting.

Overall i found this game brilliant. Not everyone's cup of tea but it was mine.

Glad I came here, I think I'm gonna get it , Im taking advantage of a buy 2 get one free sale at a certain TOY Store for people that aRe like US. And I' was stuck on the 3rd game , I think I'll make ROTA.

Some online reviews said too much talking not enough fighting .

I loved Oblivion, Fallout3 and ME.

But I'm guessing ROTA isn't really like these games?
 but still good

I give it a 9 love the game and the story. I hope they make a sequel where we could play as Herucles and Achillies.
