As a fan of the original, I'd LOVE the chance to play a sequel to the game. However, I hope they can do something about the load times so you don't have to sit their staring at a loading screen everytime you get a to a different section of each level. This made the warriors challenge in the colliseum area almost unbearable for me!

Seriously, that pissed me off

i agree it was very annoying and i cant wait to see what they are gonna do with the Sequel, Just like im interested with Fable 2

Indeed, it seems that Bioware games for the Xbox have had the best storylines of any games and some of the worst load times.

Been hearing from friends who are good with there info getting ect that Jade Empire 2 is gonna be a PS3 Exclusive ... dont Quote me but if it is im gonna be exrtemely pissed

I doubt it for several reasons:

1. Bioware and MS have a strong history together.
2. Jade has a fanbase among Xbox consumers.
3. We're going to see fewer exclusives, dues to rising development costs.
4. Jade Empire wasn't a big enough hit for Sony to be shelling out for an exclusive.
5. Bioware sent a survey to a portion of its customers, myself included, which was feeling out some ideas for Jade 2. At one point, they said it was in development for Xbox 360 and PS3, though at the time it was clear that the game was still in its conceptual stage. They also seemed to be feeling out whether it would bother 360 owners that it was coming out for the PS3 as well.
6. To date, there has been no credible source stating that this game would be a PS3 exclusive.

Well... I posted the below back in January... old news really, again tho'... it would really suck if it WAS a PS only game... I can't see them doing it tho'... hoping they'll be smart and at least do a multi-platform release

Love how this topic started 2 and a half years ago talking about a sequel!! More chance of Mass Effect 2 being released before a Jade 2

IDK what to put here.

I really thought Jade Empire was a great game. What I don't understand is that they jump the second the first one comes out to make a new one like Gears of War (was a great game too, but im a nerd and like rpgs better so thought Jade empire was better). Like seriously, Gears of war 2 came out so fast after the first one. I wish they would do that for my kind of games.

Games I'm looking forward to:
1. Fatal Frame 4
2. Jade Empire 2

I'd prefer Bioware's own IPs Jade Empire and Mass Effect (two of my favourite games ever) to Knights of the Old Republic and would much rather then do sequels to those than another KOTOR game.  Indeed, Mass Effect basically is the next KOTOR game but with an original universe and characters.

The map in the original Jade Empire promised a much bigger world than what was there.  The character progressed from right to left and I think we stopped half way across the map.  It seems there was more cities planned either in the original game or as added content they never got around to adding. 

im hopeing for a longer story and and a wider range of styles and maby some co-op over live

I have to disagree. I don't get shocked very often during RPGs. I may just be one of like five people who were NOT shocked at the Revan revelation in KOTOR I. KOTOR II's true villain was a surprise for me, but Jade Empires final boss was like a roundhouse kick to the forehead as far as I was concerned. Sure, I thought it was cheesy that you were trying to save your kung fu master, but when everyhing really started to hit the fan- woah. Just woah.

I do have to say that the combat was a bit clunky, but at least it was pretty. (even if ice area attacks took too long to really cause any damage...)

in mass effect....
everything was good except three things
- 2 attack buttons
- why do you have to turn into demons???
-and why only one partner my partners died half the time..
in short part 2 should be the kung fu equivalent of mass effect..
hopefully mass effect 2 will have sme online features like they originally said about mass effect...

I expect it will take place a long time after the events in Jade empire with a new character and party members because all the ending in Jade empire pretty much end the story for your guy. If you did the evil ending there is not much left so Jade empire 2 will be all new and maybe use the Mass Effect character customization engine, the dialog system and maybe more exploring.  

id love a jade empire 2, it was a great game that not alot of people knew about it deserves a sequal.
