Ok, so this game has been out for what? 6 months now?  And still no fix?

Any chance we could get some NEW information from the people who've made it so that we can know what's going on?

Instead... after a tough battle, I found myself King to King and only had the option of drawing via the repeat move. It took a while but worked. Would've been much quicker had the draw option worked.

 

 

Also I was really upset about promoting a Q and having a Stalemate! That's not chess.

The achievements for this game were easy for me I got 200/200 in less than an hour right when it came out.

don't worry about fixing the achievement bug, fix the chess/checkers bug.

you guys missed a very annoying checkers bug:

- Right at the beginning of a ranked match your 1st move will result in a loss and this process will continue everygame after until you reset your console.

also,

PLEASE PUT SOME TRUESKILL OR A POINTS SYSTEM IN THE GAME FOR RANKED MATCHES.

If you don't have permision to adopt the trueskill ranking system from halo then install a points system like they have in real chess/checkers leagues. For example,

Everone will start off at 1500 and rank up if they win or down if they lose.

Beginner <1500

Intermediate >1500, <1650

advanced >1650, <1800

expert

master... and so on

A new feature like this in the next update will make the ranked matches more challenging and interesting. It will ultimately bring more competitors to the game and help spyglass boardgames compete with ChessMaster Live when it comes out on any given next wednesday.

Almenta it did exactly the same thing with me! I got a couple of achievements on Halo 3 in Chinese i believe, but as i changed the language back to English, the achievement descriptions were in Chinese! Is there a way to change the achievement description back into English? Any help would be handy!

Fix the achievement bug, and the chess/checkers bug.  When will an update come out, this is taking way to long?

The achievements only appear in a foreign language to you. But if you want to fix it, just recover your account.

I talked to Zwilnik and here's the response I got:

Hi! It's still in the works (I've got some of it done already) but it's very much dependant on my spare time (next to none) and when it's done it will be dependant on a slot being available at MS testing and cert etc. (so not soon). Aaron

So either: A) We try to get something together in an attempt to raise the importance of the glitch fixes for Spyglass or B) We wait for a while and hope for the best.

I don't play Spyglass due to the gameplay glitches and now I've got a glitched achievement as well in Play 5 because someone quit out on me. If anyone has the time to get into contact again with Strange Flavour or Microsoft instead of bothering Aaron on his personal gamertag, please let the community know so that we can try to get these issues fixed. I would be content with a leaderboard reset if it fixed the acheivement glitch, but I know many would like some of the chess issues fixed.

I would just like the play 5 in a row fixed, because to me this game is dead.  I would love to have it completed thou.  So I could move on instead of checking every month to see if there is any new word.  I feel that he had the time to make this game and collect are money for the game then he should take the time and get it fixed.  I didn't pay to play a broken game.

See, the biggest thing for me, is that aside from the broken achievment, I actually liked this game.

That said, the length of time it has taken the company to come out with a relativly simple patch has soured me on them. I will never buy another game from them, and becuse of this, they have lost any potential business from me.

And you know, if someone asks me about a game made by them, I'll tell them "don't buy it". Why support a gaming company that, in this day and age, won't support it's game?

exactly this is ridiculous... they need more time?? It has been nearly 8 months since this game was released (I think) and they havent had enough time!!!? I emailed them and they told me that there is no achievement glitch and they should have an update soon. WTF? lol this game is a joke... I have nearly all my games maxed out (1000 or 200) and this game has a nice wonderful 195!

Well, the stupidness continues.

I actually went onto the Freeverse forums and asked about the game, and was told that it was MS that controled the updates, and not the designer of the game itself.

I'm sorry, but that seem like a load of... to me. Come on! Why would MS stop one of it's developers from fixing a game.

Oh, side note to all of this. Freeverse also did work on the Marathon game, and that game just got updated. :(

Well it is certainly frustrating.  I continually check every month or so by loading up the game but still no update.  I guess I will have to be content with 195 pts and not being able to unlock the play 5 achieve.

Yeah its very frustrating how long is it going to be now?

Patch, Patch, Patch, we want a PATCH!!!!

i havent played this game since the day i bought it and still no update lol.

Hi guys.

I have the same problem. I cant get the "Play 5 online games" achievement.

I have this game since the 11.08.2008, and it hasnt got a update until yet.

It makes me not happy and please can help me someone by this achievement, I try it so oft, but I dont get the achievement.

If someone have an Idea to get this Achievement, please write a message to me on my account, not here in the forum. Thanks everybody.
