Re: What retro xbla would you like to see released
I used to play a game on the SNES called Prehistorik Man, I still have it but connecting the SNES is a pain so i don't play it anymore but would love an updated version.

a updated version of rock'n'roll racing (SNES) would be a blast i reckon...

a bit of 4 way XBL would be killer..

and even though we got Commando 3 WOTB i would have preferred a remake of MERCS.. it would defacate all over WOTB..

You must admit, you brought this on yourself..

Here is my list

Wonderboy (arcade version)
Snow Bros (arcade)
Daytona (arcade)
Blood Brothers (arcade - this was my favourite game when I was a little tacker, 2 cowboys in the wild west coop, you could only run left to right to avoid bullets and to kill all the baddies, tanks and blimps & bossess, you had to move your reticle (little square target) over them and hammer the buttons (similar to an old C64 game called Cabal but that game had crap graphics and wasn't as fun). You could also dive and throw dynamite. . It was cool).

Lemmings
Bombjack (oh yeah!)
Bolder Dash - the Commodore 64 version not any of the new ones like the ordinary DS version
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (SNES version I think - but as link says its a Rare game)
I can't remember their names but any game made by Iguana Entertainment for the SNES, including NBA Jam.
I also liked Wizball on C64 in the day but I think it would be quite crap now.
Maybe Rygar (arcade version)

I haven't seen a good Terminator 2 port yet, maybe its because the arcade had the gun.
The Simpsons Arcade would be OK but maybe thats nostalgia talking like the original Turtles game.

And just for fun and to see if the older guys on here remember, Sam Fox Strip Poker from C64 days!

P.S The Turtles in Time game looks interesting
P.S.S Someone mentioned Giana Sisters. Apparently Giana Sisters 2 is coming to the DS in 2010 (saw on Gameplayer site).

+1, that would be madness.. 2 on 2 XBL

it would dominate XBLA forever ha ha ha

slightly OT but there used to be a great SNES game but i can't remember what is was called.. was a side scrolling platformer set in the future and you could pistol whip mutants and had to catch trains between levels, one of the train stations was called europa..

ha ha sorry for the dodgy description but does anyone remember that? what was it called?

You must admit, you brought this on yourself..

I like your style mate , that Bloodbrothers game sounds like "Sunset Riders" ... maybe a different name for the same game ? Dunno..

But yes , Wonderboy should be on the arcade... heck Sega should just remake it. And imagine SnoBros with co-op play over live !

Ill also add Pitfall! to the list as that is pure classic.

Cheers,

I remember having Flashback on MegaDrive and that game at the time, definitely felt ahead of its time..I didn't know it was on other consoles though

Yeah it was on multiple consoles and other platforms, i had it on the Commodore Amiga... awesome game, i never got very far in it when i was younger. Did when i was older, will never forget the time when i went to play it after a very long time of not touching it (or the Amiga, as i had well and truly moved on to the Playstation etc). My sister threw out the manual with the copy protection codes.... I was not impressed Sad [:(]

i would love to see elevator action, what a classic pumped a lot 20c coins into that, some of you are probably too young to know these, how about popeye, pengo, galaxian, phoenix, original space invaders, even some snes games would be good donkey kong country come on rare.

A port of the Playstation/DS version of Chrono Trigger would be awesome.
Quake would fit nicely alongside Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. A bigger polygon count (particularly in the enemies) and better textures would be nice.
Goldeneye and/or Perfect Dark, with online multiplayer. Again, extra polygons and more detailed textures would be cool.
A Tekken game.
A Boulder Dash remake.

hmmm... can't think of any more atm.

+1. I'd like to see an updated version but I don't think that's possible because Nintendo can't create a proper console. They're always 5 years back on graphics but they win the kids because of some stupid gimmick like the WiiMote.

They put Soul Calibur on the XBLA in the leadup to SC IV's release, fingers crossed that they release Tekken in the leadup to Tekken 6's release.
