Why do we get a muppet when this setup makes much more sence. If they get Vader then its common sence we should get Luke.... Luke would be awsome and in my opinion a lot better (and more balanced) than Yoda.
Why are they ignoring the one guy who single handidly saved the SWs universe? Why are they ignoring the one guy who brought balance to the force?
All yoda ever did was get his *** handed to him buy Palpatine.... Luke defeated Palp and Vader on his own.
Not sayin Yoda's not wise or powerful just saying that he's gonna be cheap crap and i'd much rather play Luke (of course everyone wants to play Vader.... But only Sony fanboys). Also Darth Maul, General Grievous, and Obi Wan would of been cool to.... But cmon if your gonna have Vader on one platform it just makes sence to have Luke on xbox.

Either way i will buy it for the SC characters mostly but.... I'm realy pissed that i don't get to play the greatest movie villian ever just because i don't wanna spend 400 plus bucks on another system.... For shame Namco.

Also i might add that it wasnt a huge deal with SC2 because in all honesty i had a GC and GC had the best character (Link) and Ps2 and Xbox had characters i could care less about. Considering i played Heiachi in Tekken3 and i played Spawn as well (wasnt impressed by spawn in the least bit).

I may be the only one who thinks this, but I was actually pretty dissapointed to see the Star Wars charcters being included in Soul Calibur 4. It's like matching up a fight between a lion and a chihuahua. I see posters all over with Vader and Mitsurugi locking swords. Come on. Sorry, I love Soul Calibur, but a katana can't block a lightsaber. I love both Star Wars and Soul Calibur, but that doesn't mean they should mix. One of the main reasons I like the SC series is that the martials arts are at least fairly realistic. Sure, there are some unbelievable stuff, but no fireballs or dragon punches. I'm worried that Vader and Yoda are going to push things a little too far.

I totally agree with you about Yoda that he shouldn't be portrayed as a jumping bean. I think when I saw the movies the first thing that came to my mind was a spinning monkey. I always envisioned that if Yoda ever had a lightsaber duel he would have like 6 lightsabers hanging from his belt that would all fly into action and fight completely controlled by the force trascending the phyisical. No acrobatics. I definately agree that Luke would have been a better choice than Yoda anyway.

Really though, the best thing for them to do would be to make a completely seperate fighting game with Star Wars characters.

Actually you did miss the point. My last post was mostly sarcasm. The point is, it's all point of view. Maybe not everyone here loves games. Maybe some people are just casual gamers, though I think more hard core gamers visit this site than casual gamers.

Fine, you are a casual gamer. You "hang with friends, jog, lift weights, go to parties." Everyone says that: "I'm not a nerd, I have a girlfriend and do this, and this, and this, etc." So? A nerd is what? Someone who doesn't have a balanced life? Ok, by that definition Olympic athletes are nerds. They do one activity everyday 8 hours a day or whatever. They don't have much time for a social life or getting a boyfriend/girlfriend. Appearently you're a nerd if you care about something. 

So Iron Griffon thinks about katanas and lightsabers? Who cares? At least he's thinking about something. Have you seen some of the posts on this site? A lot of people make posts without any thought at all. Personally, I think nerds are more interesting.
