Betreff: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
Hm.. ok.
Now I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who always loses his level...
It's a very strange thing... I keep my achievements and it says my level is 11 (in the friends list), but in-game I'm always starting at level 1.
:-(

Very annoying...

Odd...... first stickied threads get lost in the sea of non-stickied threads, and then I have to search my "My Forums" archive just to find this thing again, when it has been replied to more recently then the threads above it?  Confused [*-)]Confused [8-)]

Re: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
I recently used my Hard Drive on a friend's Xbox and noticed I lost all of my data (ranging from character levels to weapons and animals).

I only did that because my Xbox broke and for that same reason I can't try placing my HD back into my old Xbox and checking if the data has come back.

When I transfer my data from this old HD to a new one, is there any chance I might get my data back?

Any suggestions?

Well, switching your HDD to a different Xbox is a "no-no". Your best shot is to start it up, check your character progress (without starting a game), and then try my methods of fixing. Good luck!

I switched my HDD and have not been able to recover as I posted above.  Reckon that as long as you didn't play on your friends system then you'll be able to recover, however if you did play then there will be a whole new save on the system that will have overwritten any history making it impossible to recover.

What do you mean?  I thought that migrating accounts was a no-no?

Re: Betreff: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
Even though this thread is a bit old, I'll be nice and bump it.

My friend today... he siad he would help me beat the game on my Mechanic. So I hosted a game. When he came in, we toggled ready and went to character selection. I was just focusing on my slide, so I chose my Mechanic. All of a sudden, I saw his four main knights level 1. It was insanity. He unlocked every single character and had one level 99. It was totally BS. He got so mad that he quit Crastle Crashers. Man, I feel sorry for him. Extremely. Well, I told him to try these methods atleast twice. NOTHING WORKED. Man, without him, I feel like complete nothing. When is this stupid patch coming out?

Also, I've been switching 360's like almost every week and I have not even lost my data.

My friend did, and he lost his.

Serious, this is way to messed up. I don't even think he wants to hear one word about Castle Crashers anymore.

That's because this thread is unreliable. And since the patch was released today, there is no reason why this thread should just die.

On the contrar, the patch is not perfect.  The lag issue still exists on my end of the spectrum, lol!

Re: Betreff: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
Well, I've had a similar yet completely different issue. I joined a game of castle crashers only to end of with the hosts saved data. Which sucks cause the host had less of everything then I did. Still not exactly sure how in the *** someone who lives several states away would be able to overwrite my saves just by joining the game and entering the charater screen but it happened. Now I'm stuck with his characters, levels, weapons, less gold, less characters unlock, less animals.

Not yet.  You might need to migrate your settings from one Xbox 360 to the next.  BE WARNED, though: you can only do it once every...... year?  Six months?  Lol... something like that.  I should see if I could find the link again.

Re: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
yep, just had this happen to me again spent an hour on the phone with xbox technical support reffered me to make a post on these forums came to post and found (not suprising) already some here.
I tried the fixes to get my data back, didnt work probably because i wasn't aware i lost it til i got into a game and had somebody else's data :/. I never leave games and/or try to glitch my levels/players and think people that do should be banned from xbox live. These people are the exact reason why once again my character data now sits at level 1s and 1 guy i never touched at 20. Sucks big Time and in my own opinion
Hopefully this issue gets fixed soon i am tired of having to relvl multiple characters over again when i pay for something that should have some security help. Please Xbox/license support/programmers fix this Glitch before i say goodbye.

Re: Losing Data - Avoiding and Fixing [v3]
The alternate solutions didn't work?  That's funny....... especially since they supposedly fixed this with the King DLC.

If you want, we can play some together on Castle Crashers and get some of your stuff back.  I've got every weapon and animal if you're interested.
