don't know man. This game is way scarier than the RE or Doom series.
This has some real mindfreaks in it if you know what I mean. Not just
startles, but really scary omfG moments.
Do you mean
when you're walking then you don't know when you're going to be
attacked until it's too late and a person starts attacking you from
behind? That would make me jump and let out a bit of a "aaarrrggghhh"
followed by a bit of cursing, and a rapid heart beat increase lol.
Both, and more... To say more would be to give too much away.
A example of the non-boh!-horror is pretty long in the game and you enter a trashy old play ground in the middle of the night, the scary low music and then you start to hear childrens laughter. From nowhere. In another place, won't tell you where, all of the sudden you fall 2 or 3 floors down. Almost a sheppards pie in my pants. :p

i recently started to like scary movies games and books. so how scary is it really? is it scarier than the movie IT? everyone said that was the scariest movie they ever saw and i didnt get scared at all. so im wondering if i should rent this or fear first?
The movie IT isn't scary at all in my oppinion. It's not even a movie, actually. It's a tv-mini serie and they are genrerally hard to make scary. This game is way more scary than IT (the movie/serie, at least). If you want a scary book, read Stephen Kings Pet sematary or Joe Hills Heart shaped box (just listened to that one in my ipod). Also check out the swedish author
John Ajvide Lindqvist. His first book Låt den rätte komma in is avaible in english (Let the right one in) and have become a great
swedish movie and Matt Reeves are making an
american version.
