Yes, although i am upset i have yet to get the achievement it is nice to know that the problem will be fixed so others dont have to boost for 20-30 hours.  I am currently at the high 300's and its getting quite aggrivating.  Once the problem is fixed, this game will be an easy 200 for just about anybody with a thumb  and a pointer finger.  I have tried many single player games, many games legitly done online, games with friends, etc.  Nothing seems to effect the time that it will take to get this achievement.

Currently at 540 games "played", my Xbox being on for TONS of hours, and still no achievement. I know they should be able to fix it so thats good to hear they already know about the repetition glitch. Anyway, if I get it or not in the next few hours thats fine but Assault Heroes 2 is coming out tomorrow and SOME of us MAY just happen to forget about this game ... at least for awhile.

I have that Hori controller and have mixed feelings about it. IT is good for some games with the Turbo Shots (SHMUPS and the like) but the Left & Right Trigger buttons SUCK big time! Way too small and start giving you blisters after a little while (try playing Pinball FX with it). I don't like how some people use it to cheat/spoil highs scores with it (eg: Track & Field) so i never use mine like that (eg. check my best Track & Field times). I keep it for the SHMUPS which i primarily got it for. Just be aware that not all Arcade games make good use of it though. For example, some have a second's worth of pause between shots (Eg. Galaga) so it is not continuous with many games. I much prefer playing the retro games with my DOA 4 Arcade Stick!

Well, I got "Super Wit" this morning, so heck with it.. I'm signing this thing, even though I was never awarded "Block Party"... It is just glitched for me. I don't know why, but there is nothing I can do about it.. I have had at least 3 games now where all 6 slots were filled from start to finish. Three local and three remote. Once I was host and twice I wasn't. In each of these, everybody but me got the achievement, so I know it is legit. I'm going to "Recover" my gamertag today and try it one more time, then I give up. Seems to be my week for glitched achievements anyway. I can't get the last 100 points of Scene-It: LCA either, even though I am quite sure I've satisfied all the requirements.

How many games did it take you Nautius? I just cracked 200+ myself and still nothing.

I think it was around 260 if I'm calculating correctly. Also, I satisfied "Block Party" requirements the forth time today and still no luck even after going to the trouble of recovering the gamertag..

Hi all,

We released a title update for Wits & Wagers in early August.  This update addressed the known issues blocking a certain percentage of people from getting achievements.  To our knowledge this update was successful.

That said, we were contacted by one player who said they couldn't get the block party achievement.  To our knowledge there is no reason this is the case and we haven't been able to reproduce the error.  I asked the one person who contacted me for additional information and unfortunately never heard back.  In looking at the forums it was unclear at the time if they were the only one with an issue.

If you or someone you know can't get the block party achievement, please let us know at badquestion@hiddenpath.com and we'll ask for additional information and perhaps even join in a game with you and see if we can learn more about it.

Hello again,

Well we heard from some of the folks who are having this problem, got some data about their situation, dug into the code further with that info, and we did discover that in fact that there is a very rare situation where if someone plays 50 online games  and gets the 'play 50 games online' achievement before they ever play one online game with 6 people to get the 'block party' acheivement, that getting the 'play 50 games online achievement' then unfortunately prevents you from ever being able to get the 'block party' achievement. 

There is no apparant workaround for this unfortunately, and it appears that even if we were able to do a second title update, this wouldn't fix the issue for those who have already gone down this path.  We'll talk with the folks at Microsoft in the upcoming week and see if they have any ideas.

Obviously this is something that we feel bad about, that we wish wansn't in the code, and wish that testing had found, but clearly the testers (and most of the Wits players out there) were more likely to achieve block party before achieving play 50 online games and that is why it didn't appear before now.

So i'm guessing MS hasn't come up with any solution to this problem either.

Well I have played 52 games online and the achievement did not unlock.  (neither one did), also I am seeing at least 3-5 repeat questions per game (I think the fact Live support had me clear my cache may be the cause), all I know is that I can never find anyone online to play against (the people I have, I found at 360achievements.org).  If anyone needs the MVP or Connected (still need this myself) please send me a message with time you want to play or invite me if you see me online.

On a side note I am sick of Achievements not unlocking in Arcade games (Hasbro Family Game Night), if this is the rock solid software that MS releases to the Arcade (buggy, doesn't deliver what you earned), then perhaps I will no longer Download Arcade games (since when they don't work you get the classic call your OEM response who then tells you to call your ISP, tech geeks know what I am saying).

GET YOUR *** TOGETHER MICROSOFT, its not like you make billions of dollars a year.

Ok all I have an update for those who are trying to unlock this all the way.

DO NOT CLEAR YOUR CACHE!!!!!!!!

Clearing your Cache erases all the history from Wits and Wagers!!!  I had played several games with friends and tried several online as well for about a total of 25 games, I had to clear my cache to "resolve" an issue (issue is unresolved still), I went back to playing Wits and Wagers to unlock the full 200 GS, it took me 75 total games to achieve Play 50 games and Play 50 Games online (Every game I ever played was online trying to find other players).  Also I am pushing game 300 today (my xbox is playing by itself) still have not answered all 700 questions.  Also I am seeing 3-4 repeats that I know I have seen previously.

So just a word to the wise:

DO NOT CLEAR YOUR CACHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the game doesn't have a save game file on your HDD or Mem Unit

DO NOT CLEAR YOUR CACHE!!!!!!!!!!!

Because you will lose the history....
