I agree with the OP. IMO Rare has made some of the most creative games on the 360 to date.
Yes, Rare has made some of the most
creative games for the 360.
Sadly, creativity today isn't what people like. Just look at Bungie. They made the same game three times, made it a fourth time in a different game genre, and then a fifth spinoff game, and even a 6th they jst recently annoounced. Sadly, I'm guilty for owning all but the fourth and sixth... (Preordered ODST AKA 5th for Sergant Johnson as a playable char and for Reach AKA 6th beta.)
Very sad but true.
Gamers do not like the devs making huge changes to sequels. Which is very arrogant, as Rare make very good innovations.

Glad you agree with me, and actually, Bungie
did mix it up a bit in ODST. I'm impressed with all the changes they made, bringing back some of the old, reworking some of the current, and adding in some of the new.
So, I guess that creativity
is appreciated nowadays, but to a limit. ODST still has the same basic concept whereas N&B took the old car (Banjo Kazooie) and replaced much of the parts such as the engine, exhaust, and lights, then added gloss to the old paint for some shine (Nuts & Bolts). Although the car looks much better, many people prefered what it was like before.
